Oh, what a battle to open a 6 gallon grain bucket, until I remembered I have these Ace 10" Grove Joint Pliers, and so happy to have found this video for the final step (no pun), in order to close it with the Gamma Seal Lid. Many thanks!

Took me 20 failed minutes of trying to get that final bulge of the bucket to fit in. Finally watched this video and it worked in 10 seconds.

Resourceful. Dangerous though if that bunker fluid or moves you could be looking at a terrible fall and injuries ...potentially a concussion. I think a rubber mallet is much safer and quirky the prevention of injury. I hate to think of anyone getting hurt.

Helpful so long as you don't go above a certain weight and don't put too much weight on the center of that lid or bounce. Likely most people under 150 wouldn't have trouble. Over 200 though is a different story. I've climbed on one of these before and cracked the lid down the center.

The "stomp"...what genius!

So I bought a house in April that was very well taken care of except for the well. Guessing it’s the original one around 50 years old. It decided to stop working the day after Christmas and won’t have a new one for around a week. Not wanting to spend a fortune on water containers (the new well is expensive enough) thought I’d get some buckets and air tight lids to transport water for flushing the toilets and cleaning up in between showers. Don’t own a mallet but tried beating it into submission with a hammer and block of wood. Got the rim on 95% of the way but that last little chunk wanted nothing to do with it. Was about to go postal until I found this video, your trick worked like a charm! You’re living proof that not all heroes wear capes, thank you for your service!!!

Thank you. What you want to do, is stand on the edges, because that is where you want the lid to snap down. I got a lid on pretty fast using this method. The other lids using the "correct method" took me forever and i'll never use the official method ever again.

I struggled so long and so hard with too many of my gamma lids… with heart rate elevated, sweat beads starting to form, I would beat it to death with a rubber mallet. Yes, once the lid is on, it's on for good, so just plan on reusing that bucket once you've emptied it so you can keep using the lid.

LOL! Wish I'd seen this about 2 hours ago. Haha... those things are hard to get on there. I tried sitting on it, pushing it with my hands...yeah right! Even tired a hammer ( don't have a rubber mallet at the moment) It was so hard to get on that I wondered if I had an over-sized bucket. Nope...they're just HAAARD to get on there..and once they are....not coming off...EVER! Rockin product though and I have no regrets.

Turn it upside down and sit on it with a board on the top. A few bumps and it usually snaps on.
