My neighbor next door to me is from Bay City, MI and he has to be one of the nicest guys i've ever met in my life. I've always loved vehicles with vinyl tops and to watch this man work with over 40 + years of experience is so gratifying. He has a true talent and takes a ton of pride in his work. Awesome video.

How much do you charge to do a black top on an 80 cutlass and I remove everything? And clean under the old vinyl top first

Very good job!! When i removed my vinyl top. Theres was a plastic molding around rear window. I broke it . Do really need it to reinstall vinyl top? Also where you buy the materials?

I have a question about removing the aluminum strips across the top and up the B panel. Can you provide assistance with that? Nothing on KZfaq shows the removal of those strips can you talk me through it? I love that blue top on the white with the seams.

@@garylamont898 also Gary do you know if the plastic strips around the back window are available the ones you took the fabric under along the back window. You got skills thanks for the demonstration.

They are on with clips I unclip the side first I push the molding to the side then use a plastic stick to unclip them once the sides are loose I normally pull them straight towards me and slide them off be careful those clips break really easy

If you can’t find them in a junk yard you have to make them I use fiberglass shower board and silicone around the outer edge stick it right to the window I have made many custom tops that lasted for years that way you just have to pad it up a little more and shape it
