ALWAYS USE A LARGER WRENCH ON THE FITTING YOU ARE THREADING THE PART INTO TO COUNTER THE STRESS CREATED BY TIGHTENING THE PART!!!!! IF YOU DON'T, YOU RISK BREAKING THE FITTING AND OTHER PARTS!!!!! Signed, a 65- year-old

Excellent walk through. I'm not sure you did this when I didn't notice, but for viewers who stop by, remember to check and adjust bladder pressure for your system. You want bladder pressure to be about 2 psi below the cut in of your pressure switch. For example on a 50/30 switch it would be about 28, measured from the schrader valve on the top of the tank. It is easier to do that before adding water, you need to drain the system of water from that water spigot at the bottom to accurately check pressure. Those bladders come precharged from the factory but there are various options for pressure switches so you need to be sure it's right for your system. I would suggest some kind of stabilizing post for the tank so if a tree falls on the tank it is less likely to tear out those wires and cause a fire.

Very nice work, another tips are to put soapy water or liquid soap at hose adapter for hose inserting, really helpful.

Next time use a heat gun to make the pipe more flexible and easy to slide on and while it cools it creates more tight seal.

Small tip. When installing that plastic pipe. Insert the ends for a few seconds in boiled water. it will slide over much easier.

I would heat up plastic pipe with heating gun or torch(could saves you some time). But job done very nice.

Use some heat on the pipe to slide them on effortlessly... :-)

Use hot water. Pipe will slip on the fittings easily.

To install the black connecting hose to the nipple easily, just put the ends in boiling hot water for a minute to soften the end, then you should be able to push it on the nipples, but you need to work quickly since the black pipe will harden as it cools off!

you are meant to lubricate the threads when using teflon tape to make the ends screw in easier and all the way

How can I know when buying a pump whether it will handle pumping against the pressure? Eg say I have a pump which can displace 15m, and there's already 10m from well pump to tank, how do I know it will be able to handle the additional resistance pressure that the tank will produce?

My pressure switch riser nipple broke inside pressure switch and other part broke off inside the pipe to where I can’t even try to get it out my whole pressure tank was done using pvc pipe and even nipple was plastic I can’t afford a professional to come out to fix it and can’t understand why I’m still getting water in my house when the water valve is turned off

Great video, but I believe one thing you did is a big no-no.. You used WHITE wire for a HOT wire.. It "IS" legal, but only if you mark those wires with either red or black tape... RED is preferred over the white wire as you already have black wire in the same fitting.. Wire is wire and the same volts and amps run through them, but the codes people and insurance people will alllllways give you hell about it...
