Thanks for the video. Also works on the 2017 Tacoma. Saved me $700+ since I was able to install myself. Can't believe that I got the wiring right on the first try. Lucky I guess.

Most helpful video out there for the Tacoma install.... EXCEPT... refer to the installation manual about wire color combinations for each door (towards the end of the video)..... It will save you a little time... Thanx for the video...

how much was the amp power boards for your double cab? Also Install Pricing ? Was the power boards Worth the extra money vs The standard running boards like the predator tubes?

Thanks for the great video! I just finished installing these steps on my 2017 Tacoma. The instructions for the wiring that came with the kit switched the colors for the wires on the driver's side. Going back to your video I was able to see this and I got the wiring done!

Thank you, Todd, I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma trd offrd and have ordered the amp retractable running boards. I have watched your instructions several times and thinking about finding the correct trigger wire for each door. would it be easier to find the door switch wire and connect to that wire on each door? thanks

I have a 2017 Tacoma double cab, Amp- Research says Measure 18 inches from the the front linkage towards the front of the board. the video says to the rear, maybe for a 2016 Tacoma .

Awesome tutorial! Thanks for making this video, just one question. How exactly do i test for the pink wire that is connected to the rear door? Same for the purple wire on the passenger rear, how do can I identify the right wire?

How exactly do you do the trial and error do you just connect to one pink wire and then add the power to it from the battery and see if it works I'm just confused on that part and by tapping into those wires on the driver side and passenger side it will then operate for both the front and back door correct?

I'm just curious as to how far these steps drop down. Can anyone give me the measurement from the door sill plate to the top of the step when deployed?

My kit came with diode connectors. Can I just use the tap or do I have to use the diodes I'm confused. This is a 2012 model.

Install the Single Diode Harness on Pink/Black wire (12 volts negative with the door open) and connect to Power Step Pink/Black trigger wire. Make sure to install the diode toward the front of the vehicle. For more information refer to Page 7 step 17 of the instructions. Here is a link to the instructions if you don't happen to have them. I just installed mine and its not working only the led lights is on (steady) and i heared continues cliking sound from controller STA i wired everything correct i dont know why is not working. If you can help me would be much appreciated. Thanks!
