The moment you said "set of brackets" I knew I was screwed as I have the ender 3 V2 but the direct drive upgrade that I installed comes with the ender 3 extruder plate.

from what i understand if you do a mesh before hand and then use g29 it will ignore what is saved in eeprom and only use the mesh it just got. there is a different code to use from memory

yeah i forgot to put the code in cura but the printer levelled in the middle and started to print and it works just so good

mine leveled then when it finished made a hole in the middle of the bed. Any reason why that is?

Board info says creality v4. Baud 115200 protocol 1.0 psu generic.

idk why, but I can't do what you did at 7:25. I've been using this printer for a long time, just got the new SKR mini e3 v2 board and installed everything earlier today, but I can't get the nozzle anywhere close to the bed even with the bed almost completely loosened. it's probably over 1mm away from the nozzle. I've probably put about 10-15 views on your video just trying to rewatch exactly what you did to replicate it frame by frame, but when I go to set the z offset it's nowhere near the bed on 0mm and I can't tell it to go into the negatives. If you or anyone else in the comments has the time, I could do with some help on this, i'm stumped. Otherwise, the video was good, thank you!

you have to take it to 0mm and then go to probe Z offset and thats where you can go under 0mm and even set it by the time

I forgot to update this, but I found the z probe wizard as an option, basically it does the same thing. When I tried using the setting you suggest, I couldn't get it to go negative. It could've been a bug in the firmware I flashed to it, but it finally worked when I used the wizard that was preloaded. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Thank you for this super detailed video, I really appreicate it! After updating the firmware on my endor 3 v1, the autohome is super incorrect! My understanding is: AutoHome should move the hotend to 0,0 position. But now autohome places the hotend near the back right of my build plate. I am currently trying to figure out why it does this.

You have cr touch and you are installing bl touch soft. Why?

Thank you for the information, it was incredible!!! I'm trying to use a correct firmware for my 3d printer, but I have not success until now. I have tried some versions and it wasn't work properly. 1) I cannot enter a negative value for the Z position, the maximum is 0.000; 2) The heating of the bed is very slow...it reaches 40 quickly, then takes almost 5-6 minutes to reach 50 degrees. 3) After starting a printout, even with all the problems I had, the menu remains stuck, not allowing access to tuning settings... as if there was a high level of processing. I used these versions: * Ender3-v4.2.7-BLTouch-20240213.bin * Ender3-v4.2.7-BLTouch-20240209.bin * Ender3-v4.2.7-BLTouch-20240211.bin

Is it okay if I install the sensor before installing the firmware?

The firmware is what tells the printer that there is a sensor and how to work with it, so I would recommend not using the printer if you decide to install the sensor before installing the firmware.
