Pro tip: screw your field point/ broadhead into the insert and use that to push into the arrow. That way you don’t run into any depth issues

That’s always just seemed like common sense to me don’t know why people over complicate it and if you get epoxy all in your threads you should t be building arrows anyways

Be cautious with the step he shows at 2:45 (flipping the tool around and re-inserting it to make sure the depth is set correctly). I did this and on 2 of the 6 arrows I was adding inserts to, I'm guessing it was this step where I must've unknowingly pushed the inserts even deeper into the shaft, and the result was my field tips were left with maybe only 1/8" of bite threading into the inserts, which were sunk too deep.

I tried to put the insert in just like this today. The insert was way too tight to go into the arrow. Customer was not happy.

What MM shaft? These came with my 5mm and fell in all the way.

Pro Tips= Don't use the green plastic push tool or the epoxy. The insert will float and doesn't set to the right depth. Use a quick setting glue and a field point. Let the glue set up enough to pull the field point out.

I hate HIT inserts, wish you guys would make Axis shafts that used normal insert!!!!!!!!

I nearly ruined $130 of arrows installing these inserts because they didn't come with instructions explaining they need to be jammed inside the shaft so far instead of mounted flush like a normal insert... geez! Fortunately the 90-minute epoxy wasn't dry yet!

i ruined mine the only thing i know to do know is to order outserts and cut the arrows to where the insert will come out

Why not just use standard inserts with the collar? Seems like you are making this more complex than is needed to be. What is the advantage of the "hidden" insert?

You need new insert tools. They push in too deep.

You can buy arrows that are already built. Beyond that, if you're going to hunt with a bow and take the time to become a good archer (as you should if you're going to hunt with a bow) then what's a few hours spent building some arrows?
