How to install extended wheel studs

Today I went through the step by step process of how to install extended wheel studs on my g35. It is/was relatively a super easy wheel stud installation, besides having a jank hub that needed to be replaced lol.. But for anyone that will be installing z1 extended studs, measure your knurl sizes before installing the new ones, so you can avoid the headache I went through. Lisle wheel stud installer tool works great too even though demonstrated with a stack of washers. Hope this helped you out !

Aye bro my extended studs, will not fit between that notch. I grinded some material and still no go, same problem as yours the ball seat won’t fit and they look different than the oem stock. I’m thinking of renting the tool to pull the hub out

Yeah, you most likely ran into the same problem as me. Definitely get some new hubs and you should be good. Or recheck if you have the right size knurl for your hub. Pretty sure you can just get the hub off with a socket set and hammer bro.

I ended up getting the spacers off of z1 motorsports online, as well as the extended studs.

My G isn’t tuned.. yet haha. But I plan to get a tune in the near future hopefully

Unfortunately I don’t know, but you should try Facebook groups for your area ! I’m sure you could join the Z/G community on Facebook and ask and they can point you in the right direction.
