Haha this is perfectly timed as this is what’s happening in my garage. Only I have repaired the original exhaust for the time being. You can’t beat lying on your back trying to fit the long section to the down pipe… (repaired my exhaust with a bit of welding on the non galvanised sections and car application of repair cement. Should last a while)

Haha yh, always interesting doing these types of jobs on the ground 😅 basically insert at a 60' angle and slowly feed in 😂 must admit, I do like the BM cat systems as the boxes are about half the size and weight so makes it a much easier job. Getting underneath there with the old system would have been a nightmare lol

Axle stands are your friend when doing this. I also cut the exhaust when removing behind the silencer. This obviously meant I had to ‘rejoin’ the Teo on reassembly. Ensuring the pipe ends were ‘square’ I removed a 1 inch section in the process. I bought a stainless ‘connector’ which was 3 inches so cut two further inches off and then rejoined them. The pipe over the axle is much easier to feed through on its own.. Hopefully the system will last for some time …

Another good video. I’m due to change my one soon as I think as it sounds a bit ‘gruff’, I think it’s still got its original one. Going to go stainless hopefully 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Cheers buddy. Yh mine was the same. Think it was original too and was battered to be fair. It is well worth doing as the engine breathes so much better. And having a quiet exhaust again is so nice 😅

BM Cats is a good choice if you are after stainless steel. They use 409 grade stainless steel due to its strength and resistance to corrosion. We usually have this in stock, so it will always be available within a couple of days and @projectfreelander has kindly included the link in the description.

Loving mine so far, you can 100% tell the difference to the old systems and quality looks great as well as all welds etc on exhaust are neat😁👍

In terms of performance gains, it's a standard equipment stainless exhaust so it's not built to be inherently based around performance. However, with a leaking exhaust like mine was, you lose back pressure which slows the spooling of the turbo so it will slow you down. If you also have a old, clogged up exhaust that can restrict the air going through which again restricts performance. A new, fresh good quality exhaust will allow air to flow correctly to the back of the car and will help restore performance. Mine definitely feels a lot nicer to drive since having the new one 👍
