I took one look at the instruction book and thought there had to be a easier way to figure it out. Boy did I hit the jackpot with this video! I paused after each step and completely installed 3 fans in about 2 hours. This is the best instructional video I've see ever. Thanks so much!

After buying and returning two other fans from Amazon because they were impossible to put together, I bought this fan from Home Depot. I knew Hampton Bay fans were well engineered from owning a couple of them. This fan was ten times easier to install and several times less expensive that those other fans!

Putting the blades on, that are not the slide on like u have, are a real nightmare, the fan is beautiful, but installing it with the instruction, is pure HELL!!!!!!!!!!!, I have the screw on blades, and the instructions tell you to intstall the blade all put together, 2+ hours just to get 3 blades outta five installed, before we gave up. Came home watched your video and will try and do it ur way even though we don't have the slide on and lock blades, wish I did. This fan is such a PAIN!!!!!!…..…...smfh…..Hampton Bay, Havana 48-inch ceiling fan.

I wholeheartedly agree ma'am. I've installed many ceiling fans over the years, this one's a real pain!! Hampton Bay, you need to make things a little more user-friendly.

Do you really have to attach the blade arms first you can attach the blades onto the blade arms and then put it on the motor

It's easier to install the blade arms first since they are easier to handle than the whole blade arm/blade assembly. Technically, you could attach the blades to blade arms first. The blades are QuickInstall blades, so they are super easy to attach once the blade arms are installed.
