I came to this video because I feel like my car seat moves a lot when I shake it. The Man in the video gave it the gentlest wiggle to test. Is this really a good representation? I'm positive I have mine as tight as it'll go because the strap anchor is level with the top of the base. It's still very wiggly especially when the stroller is docked.

Did you end up fixing the issue? Mines is very loose and I followed all instructions. The video is deceiving because the man doesn’t really move the Dooma much

I have the exact same problem! And I’m really worried about it I don’t really use it because I’m not pretty sure that baby is safe :( so we stay home most of the time! I fallowed all the instructions but still.. is loose

While walking on sidewalks with the baby on the Doona, I feel like there are a lot of rumblings, i.e. the walk is not pleasant at all. That is, I think there's no shock absorbers on the DOona. So, it's a pretty bad walk tbh especially if the roads aren't good. Ia there a way to buy shock absorbers for it or any other option to fix this.

I installed the car seat base using the LATCH connectors. Then I wiggled the base a few times to test its tightness. The base became a bit loose. Is it expected?

Very sturdy in comparison to other strollers that we had. I get a lot of compliments for it. My baby loves being in the bassinet, The kzfaq.infoUgkx4qZutfp1y5CaTUcMTuFPbARE5u-8XLiE stroller comfortable. I like the rain cover and the white net that comes with it. I use the rain cover just to cover the car seat when it rains. If your front wheels don't turn well, make sure you lubricate.

Hi John, most cars in the US after 2002 have LATCH hooks fitted in the cars. But certainly after 2014, all cars have the ISOFIX/LATCH hooks that can attach bases to them. You need to check your car's manual to see where they are located in your car.

I have the same problem. The darn doona base is way too shaky. I don't feel as though this is safe. Smh. Going to get another car seat.

Leveled out per instructions, latched in per instructions, tightened as far as the base would allow and… very shaky

Like many others have said, My Doona is also loose with either installations. I’ve used with my first baby but I will buy a different brand for my second baby. This is a bad design

this does not show proper tightness. And pushing the base from side to side at the side away from the anchors is incorrect. Base should not move more than an inch in either direction ( door to door) at the installation point. The other end of the base ( baby's head) can have more movement allowing the car seat to absorb energy instead of the child.

Literally said this exactly to my friend when installing the base this weekend and watched the video. She said it moves a lot referring to mine, well it’s still not much but you test 1” by the instillation point (anchors for me) she was pushing at the opposite end and it was still minimal movement. She’s like ohh. All while I’m sitting on it 8 months pregnant trying to pull the strap in my suv because I couldn’t reach, funny to watch trying to fit back there with everything but it was installed properly and passed the tests. Lol

Yeah this a terrible video. Very careless portrayal of the installation. Dude didn’t even check if the base was secure. It shouldn’t move more than an inch side to side?? Bogus.

BS BS BS the install guy daintily and very gingerly checked the base for tightness, if he would have really tested it, it would have moved so much you wouldn't buy this. After install, the unit is so loose it is completely unacceptable.

What exactly do you mean? The Doona is comparable to all other car seats in the market. The safety standards around the world, wouldn't allow for the Doona to be a smaller size than other car seats...

The amount of shaking after it’s completely secured is not ok….. I do not feel safe putting my new born in this.

@@doonapoor design the belt tension mechanism needs to be directly attached to the latch for the seat anchor. There is to much dead space between the two to get the belt tight enough
