It's about as loud as a refrigerator when idle. A 5 lb tank lasts about 4 months when used daily and costs about $30 to refill from an Airgas store. A 10 lb tank costs about $10 more which is why I recommend using a larger tank if possible. The carbonation level is adjustable via the CO2 pressure regulator. Setting the pressure to the maximum rating of 75 PSI will result in the most carbonation. The drip tray is removable and the temperature can be adjusted by holding the top button down for 5 seconds and then using the two buttons below to set the temperature higher or lower. Yep! You can use any size tank as long as it fits in your area. In my opinion, the bigger the better as it saves cost on CO2 and having to refill.
