Good afternoon Horus Works, I just watched this tutorial video to work out how you unplug that grey harness connector it’s a sneaky one. 👍🏼 and also how you remove the backrest adjustment knob. And thanks for dropping off my package today at Cobbitty. It didn’t click that it was you till after you left. I was in the middle of tinkering with my BF XR8 when you knocked on the door. Hi Horus, I was reasonably confident that I could replace my Falcon AU seats until I realised the issue with the handbrake. I am now hopeful that I can change the seat base in a similar manner. In the AU the middle seat and drivers seat are one piece it should be noted for others going down the same path. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

nice conversion handy hint- take the head rests out for extra room when installing

I installed mustang recaros in my ute. I probably removed and replaced those seats 20 times during fabrication of the brackets between the falcon floor and mustang seat base. Mine is heaps heavier, too. Great video as always, cheers.

@@Horus_Works I had the same as your original seats and they were pretty comfy. Like you I got a bit bored of them. Im a bit fat for the Mustang recaros, they grab me in the flanks a bit tight.

Nice modification. You said you wanted a green theme. From what I can see that the sewing on the seats is also blue. I'm thinking if you can get a piece of green fabric and sew it on top of the blue? I think it would cover it nicely.

Great video - thank you for sharing. I was actually thinking to replace the seats in my 2006 RTV Ute (column shift, three-seater). Do you think the XR6 BA-BF sedan seats fit the ute? Any other seats that may fit the RTV? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide

Hey mate, appreciate you watching, and thanks for the comment. As far as I'm aware the seats in the RTV are exactly the same as mine (mine is also a 3 seat column shift), so the short answer is yes, they would fit, although if you're installing them out of a sedan, you will lose the flip-back function as this was only available on ute seats... hope that helps 👍

Pretty heavy to carry the seats in and out, 🥵. Good fix and nice work 💪. I think you should leave the blue of the sticked inscription, those seats look anyway, much better than the previous seats 🙂

Great video mate. I’ve got the BA XLS green top and I’m actually thinking of a seat change so cheers. Any thoughts on changing your green top over to petrol down the track?

Thanks Phil, much appreciated and hope the video help you get it done. I was considering swapping the gas stuff out at a later date - we'll see how things develop... right now I'm enjoying the low fuel costs but not the lack of power 😅
