Great video this helped me decide that im gunna take it to a shop for this job so it can be done on a lift and not try to do it myself so definitely very helpful 👍

I watched Rainman Ray do this in a regular shop with a lift and he had a tough time doing it with all his power tools. Not an easy job.

I appreciate the video good job on that part but if you used a little bit of heat on subframe would have made your life easier and put your new bush in the freezer if you do it this way you can actually fit these by hand with out hammers or zawsaw and pure grunt lol good video and will help these that are trying to learn about there car keep it up 👍
@javierramirez9932 ай бұрын
You slide the frozen bushing while the frame is hot? Did i get that right? Cause im struggling rn
@liquidfluidity80618 ай бұрын
Kind of off content question, with the diff out, are you able to access any of the hoses going to the fuel tank? Good job on the bushing replacement. Bookmarked for some of the future work on my car
@mastertech60498 ай бұрын
I actually didn't noticed, but I'm pretty sure its a bit easier to access with the diff off

@@mastertech6049 just trying to not have to drop the whole rear cradle if I don't have to...I have a vent hose or filler that is cracked or loose.

My mechanic installed my rear z1 poly diff bushing but it pokes out towards the rear of car by about 3-4mm, not flat to the surface of the frame. Is this going to be an issue? Thx

this is a great video. thnx. I have a infiniti suv, do you know if this diff bushing will fit the fx35 2009?

not sure, do your research on that one

thnx..still. but i have contacted Z1 Motor, and Whiteline, and they BOTH, did not give a solid YES. i am not sure what to do now.!! AND I do not want to replace it with the same INFINI-THEIF..oem one. INFINI-THEIF want over $$3000 to do this job.

Wish I could do this job, my subframe is flaking off on a '13 living in the salt belt. I'd break every nut and bolt... Very good tutorial.

i used an air hammer and a 5 lb sledge to get mine out. getting the new bushing in wasn't much better. same sledge with a block of wood beating it in even straight out of the freezer

Don’t put polyurethane in a freezer
@DragoMusivini2 ай бұрын
Do you have to grease the polyurethane subframe and differential bushings before install and I do not thin WD40 has ben made for this.
@mastertech60492 ай бұрын
you can put silicone grease

@@mastertech6049 Consider making a gallery gasket video since they're also a common VQ fault. I am likely going to change mine as a preventative measure soon as I am at 150k miles now with no clue if the previous owner changed it. If it is anything like doing the valve cover gaskets on my buddies G35 then I am in for an adventure.... That was a 1 day job turned to an entire weekending when we realized what all we were going to have to remove just to get the fucking valve covers off.

so, the rear dif bushing is filled with liquid silicone from the factory, if that bushing is torn, what you seen might have been the silicone.
