I am starting to work on building a strong WHY. Thank you for recommending that it be supported through excellent clinical examples that demonstrate improved patient advocacy and outcomes.

I 100% agree with you! If you get an interview at a CRNA school then it is all about personality compatibility. All these programs want to see is someone who is humble and easy-going. At the end of the day, they are the ones that have to deal with your personality for the next three years, and they certainly don't want a student is arrogant and think they know it all. I got accepted with 6 months of ICU experience, but I worked my ass off prior to getting that interview.

This was very much so sound advice Dr. Bolt !! Thank you for this video. Yeah, I remember watching the video you posted a while back about that suit jacket thing. Honestly, I would say that was more pettiness than anything else. Plus, it was a blessing in disguise that you didn't end up going there. At any rate, yes I think it is understandable to always be serious of how you present yourself at both job and grad school interviews as well as for any other professional event.

I have interviewed for a couple schools and I have a question for you. If you were asked what would you do if a provider you were assigned to during clinical kicked you out of the OR? That question totally took me by surprise. What would you say?
@BoltCRNA
@BoltCRNA 4 жыл бұрын
I would apologize for doing something to make them want me to leave the OR and then I would ask for feedback on what I could do to improve for next time. I would then go and do that thing to improve and update them on my improvement the next clinical day. This is actually what will happen when you are an SRNA.

@@BoltCRNA that's exactly what I said. The professor on the panel never told me if that was what they were looking for though. I got that questions at this "prestigious school" I have a feeling you also interviewed at based on your video on rejections.

Tell them specifics about their program that make you want to be there. They are seeing if you have researched their program very well and are invested in being there.

Hey Bolt CRNA, I have a question for you. I’m in an ADN program about to finish in May and I’ve made all C’s except 2 B’s the entire program. I want to be a CRNA very bad but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to go because of my nursing GPA which is a 2.5 currently. What should I do, just give up and purse a different nursing track or is there anything I could do!?
