Being able to see your sticks and hear your motors really put things into perspective. This a much higher throttle maneuver than I ever realized. Sims are so floaty, I'm a long way from even attempting this IRL. But your format is great, I'm sure it will help me a great deal!

Love these...great job. Your pinching style lends to this type of tutorial as well cause you can really see the orientation of your sticks :)

Good thing I switched to pinch a long time ago. Yeah, being able to see the top part of the sticks would make it easier to see the target stick positions and movements.

@@headmazta I don't know how to record. Maybe it was because I was in MP, but I know LuGus made a DVR feature that was in the Experimental Branch of Liftoff, I guess I could always use OBS. I'll see if I can get something for you.

I'm not following how you are keeping it upside down and having the throttle up. Am I missing something here? Throttle up would just pull you down to the ground, not keep you in the air. Is your camera just upside down or are you changing over to some sort of 3D mode to reverse the prop direction?

Not 100% sure but this is what i think is happening: quad is actually looking straight up with its back toward the pole. If camera angle was perfectly straight, it would look at the sky, but since most cameras are pointed "up" diagonally relative to the quad, you see the pole(upside down). If the quad back is facing the pole why doesn't it run into it with throttle applied, you would ask? because he gathered "side" momentum, before starting the spin, so by applying just the right amount of throttle, it pulls the quad enough to just keep it orbiting the pole.

2.1mm or 1.8mm wide fpv/gopro lens and high-tilted setting makes the quad not upside down, but you can still see the top of the pole at the top of the screen so there's an illusion going on.

Nice man! Yaw looks like going a bit opposite from roll, right? You can try adding a bit of talking too. Also how much camera angle you fly? It's very difficult for me this trick with 25 degrees of angle.

Thanks! Yup, my yaw here is leaning a little bit to the right. Do it with 45 degrees or higher. It became very easy when I tried 50 degrees. The quad would just fall down on 25deg cam tilt..

So the trick is to never go 100% inverted correct?

Yes that's correct. 60deg cam and just look up until you see the tip of the pole.
