How to jump start a modern car

In this video I show you how to jump start a car properly so not to cause any harm to the battery or any of the computers or electronic components inside the vehicle.
It's normally pretty easy and if you follow the instructions in the owners manual you won't have any problems.

I hate Winter this is the time of year where if you don't use your car everyday then with all the modern Gizzmos like Alarms and Central locking can drain the battery Especially on Diesels where the heater plugs use a lot of power from the Battery on a Cold Morning...then if you only do short trips the battery doesn't get a chance to recharge itself...good Video...keep warm

+Steve Jones it can be a bad time of year for batteries if you don't look after your car. However in this instance it had a massive power drain worse than leaving the high beams on all night from the rear power outlet. When I get a chance to edit and upload the next video that's all about finding what was causing the battery to die in just a few hours.

I had to ask for a jump start this afternoon id lingered a tad too long with my ignition on 😤😤😤

It never happens when your about to leave for work. Cars always make sure your left stranded at work 🤣

hay you should never have 2 cars running connected with jumper leads because you have 2 alternators fighting with eachother (the jump car alternater putting out about 14-15 volts down the cable to the flat car then the flat car alternater is aslso putting out about 14-15 volts can you see what i mean. you could do this on older say 1990 is one but the electronics in modern one will go haywire let the jumper car run for about 5-10 minds turn of enhin desconect leads start the flat car is not do it aging but for 20-30 mins this will work any machnic or breakdown that even wants to have doth cars running on jump leads stop him or you might have to replace you managment computer that is £1000

Thanks for the comment. Just to clarify incase you miss understood what I was saying. Basically the audi was dead and my fiesta diddnt put out enough juice to start the audi from a partially flat battery unless it was just too low to start. So I basically used my fiesta to charge the battery in the audi enough so it would start. They where only running together for about 30 seconds after the audi started.
