So, I wait until my yard is 100% dormant and look for a day in the 60s after. At that point, spray with RoundUp anything still green then lay down some Pre-E (granular). In the late Winter/early Spring, scalp and apply Pre-E. When you see pollen counts spike then and immediately hit the entire lawn with a 10-10-10 and a serving of Milo or any organic fert. While the Pre-E is still active, the 10-10-10 will give a jump start to your grass. I have Bermuda and typically green up almost a month before my neighbors. During Season, I maintain at 1.5", scalp to ~0.5 or lower then raise to 2-3 just prior to the grass going dormant. Allows additional protection from frost.

I am going to do the best that I can lol. I am dominating my neighborhood for sure - but I will have ran myself crazy trying to keep up with you - GCI Turf - Doc - and The Lawn Care Nut. I can walk outside and look at my lawn and come back inside feeling great. Until I turn on KZfaq and watch y'all channel. Then I am running back outside trying to figure out how to get on y'all level. I heard The Lawn Care Nut say ( strive for perfection so when you come up short , your work is still good) words to live by. I don't see how you guys have that much time on your hands - to maintain a job and take care of a top notch lawn at home. Just maintaining your own lawn is a job. I guess y'all got 36 hours in your days or something lol.

I bought a 2.5-acre lake property 4 years ago, and I soon learned what the real name was for all of the ankle breakers in the yard, Dallisgrass!!! I first did the commercial thing and hired a national franchise lawn chemical company here in Louisiana. They were very honest with me about what they could do for my property, and Dallisgrass was not one of the weeds they could kill or control being my property was residential. However, the lawn care specialist of the company told me what I could do, but I was looking at a 2-3 year or more process. So after $1500.00 with them, I decided I could screw my yard up and do so much more affordable than what they did. So my Dallisgrass journey began, and 3 years later, I saw this video. I just finished my 5th spot treatment application over the past 12 months, and I have now killed over 85% of that forbidden weed. What is left is being squeezed out by bermuda. Had I only seen your video back in 2019, I would have been a happy camper. Seriously, I originally started treating thousands of clumps of Dallisgrass. This is a must try solution to anyone's Dallisgrass delima! I did the roundup rodeo prior to this recommendation and had a ton of dead spots, which took much longer to fill back in compared to the 6oz of Spectracide Weed and Grass Killer along with 1/2oz of Prodiamine 65 WDG. Working on the front entrance of school where my wife works. Grass next to parking lot has Dallis Grass everywhere but still a good stand of common Bermuda. I think I'm going to go the glyphosate route and then push everything to fill in w some NPK. I sand leveled the entrance last week... Took 5 tons!!! Damn common was covering up all the ruts and holes

@1:25 Glyphosate becomes inactive in the soil after 1 to 3 days. You can RoundUp you're entire yard and reseed it 3 days later. Glyphosate doesn't have any residual effects.

Like if you’re terrified of doing this to your Bermuda grass and can just live with the dallisgrass through the fall and winter. Note: I did a pre emergent back in September but I’m still getting dallisgrass. I used Scott’s weedex specifically. Should I put another pre emergent down now? I’m thinking about doing Anderson’s Barricade. The one weed I really don’t want is Poe Annua. That crap took over my whole yard last year. I’m in Alabama. Also my Bermuda is still growing and mostly green.
