I was always so afraid of color changes because I assumed knotting like that was a bad thing. This gave me confidence! I’m gonna do color changes!

This is so beautiful. I love the way that you show how you knit the colorwork step by step. I think I may make one with a regular pom pom for the top. I also love the colors that you chose. Thanks for the pattern and this tutorial. I love your work.

You should be leaving longer tails with your color changes and weaving your ends into the inside of your work. Not tying knots. Great work!

I would say this is a beginner friendly pattern for those learning how to knit fair isle in the round. This pattern seems so much easier than the ones I taught myself how to do.. I had used a light worsted yarn and size 4needles and it was okay hut there were lots of booboos. I have chunky yarns but don't work with them much. I love that you make alot of yours with chunky yarns.

if we are using 4mm yarn then number of stitches will vary so does the number of color changing in each row as per pattern. any guidelines in how to use this pattern using 4mm yarn.

uf I don´t know to be honest, I haven't done it with worsted. I would recommend making a swatch and calculating the amount of stitches yourself :) Good luck!

For some reason this hat is stretchy at the brim , but is very small for the head. I am almost done and it looks as if it is a kids size. I kind of wondered since it was only 44 stitches throughout. How would I adjust it to make an adult size? I’m going to have to start over
@CJDesignblog
@CJDesignblog 2 жыл бұрын
If you use the exact same materials, you should end up with an adult size 🙃 Also, your tension could be very tight when doing the color work and that might be it.

I’m 100% new to knitting, I only know how to crochet. But I’m attempting to make this hat with 9mm round knitting needles I got from Walmart 😅 but I when I cast on 44 it’s like the middle part that connects the needles is too long and I can’t connect them because it doesn’t fit all the way across the needles if that makes sense 😂
@mayciparks7038
@mayciparks7038 Жыл бұрын
I think I see the difference , I’m sure sure why by the middle cord in my needles is a lot longer than yours 😅 I’m going to order the clover needles today and try again!
