When I'm doing the knit row after the purl row it looks like I'm knitting through the back , have I misunderstood and the back of the loop is the furthest away from your working needle's point and not the side of the needle furthest from you?

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I get a hole when I start my first purl row after the first 3 garter stitches in that row :(

Please help mee😭😢😢 If my pattern asks for 12 rows of this stitch does that mean, 1 garter stch+ 1 purl stch = 1 stockinette stitch? Or does each garter stich and purl stutch count as one row???

I’m pretty sure it’s garter + purl = stockinette

One side will be a garter (knit) stitch. Turn it so that row will be all purl stitch. Did you work it out

Hi thanks this was so helpful but I somehow messed up??? The first few rows were going perfectly fine, and there was a clear stockinette pattern on the front side, but then I dont know why, but the stockinette pattern began appearing on the back side, and the backside was appearing on the front side and I'm not sure what to do dkdndn

Hey, ik I'm late, but you might've started doing the stitches the wrong way around? (ie. The purls on the knit side and the knits on the purl side) Try switching the wool over from front to back or back to front just for one row and continue knitting.

OMG, this was SO confusing. Took me hours to understand she wasnt showing how to create the pattern shown, merely demonstrating a particular stitch within the pattern. Id love to see how this was done from the beginning instead of several rows in.
