Best ways to learn your real estate market like a pro and become a local market expert. When you know your market, you get more listings and you get more buyers. Homeowners trust you more as the REALTOR® for the area because you are the most knowledgeable just because of the information that you know. All markets are different so it's important to note, you must choose a real estate market that you want to work. It cannot be the whole city. It would be impossible to really know the whole city unless you were working in a small town.

Hi Chastin, I really enjoyed your video I am new as a Real Estate, I like how the tips you talked about : drive by neighborhoods, know the streets, preview homes in your neighborhoods. This does not cost money just our time to go and see for ourselves. In my market I like on the CC of California. Our average sale of a home 500kto 700k it varies, In our area. I need to learn how to study the Market. So I feel more confident.

You can either do somewhere you are familiar with or you can do it based on the market data you find. 1. how many homes are listed and selling. 2. Are there any agents who do most of the sales. 3. Is the price point comfortable for you, etc.

I'm in central Florida area. Things go for about 100 to 150 a square foot...usually closer to 100... Can get a nice house for 180 to 200k and a really nice house for 300 to 400k. East and west cost for go higher tho

I live in a small town of 2700.i work in a city 20 miles away of 126000.my surrounding towns consist of 4 towns from 5 to 6000.i would like to stay within the smaller towns.but I am a newbie. How broad of an area, in terms of miles, should "your market" be? And what app do you use to keep track of your market?

Depends on what you're trying to keep track of. I wouldn't necessarily focus on an area in term of miles but more so either a subdivision, a building/complex, etc. It can get expensive and real estate can be very vast to do a mile radius.
