for everyone in the comments, i have a larger forehead, and i also had both types of hairstyles... in my opinion, when i had bangs, i looked the best with short bangs _(either bangs that reached just below my brow, or betty bangs that cover 3/4's of my forehead)._ curtain bangs, however, just seemed to be very awkward on me unless i actually took the time to style them (which i'm too lazy to do most of the time lol). honestly, *just do whatever makes you feel like you look the best!* ♡☆

My face shape is similar to hers but tbh I preferred regular bangs over the side ones. Y’all just go with what YOU like better.

ive have the same exact description as the side bangs face shape and ive been having side bangs for the past year, theyre the only thing that looks good on me! i look so bad without any bangs

honestly, as long as you are confident and style correct - you can pull many styles of bangs. i have round face with small chin, wide cheekbones and i like how those bangs look on me :) (i had side bangs too, they look okay as well)

Actually, if you have a square face or round face, I would advise against front curtain bangs. It makes your lower face appear wider.

It’s like how short hair is more recommended for more angular, square jawlines but other people with certain essences can still pull it off as well!!

I've had both bangs. The curtain and side bangs, I fit in both but it's not like I look as good as idols.

Front bangs make you look younger, side bangs make you look older. No matter the format of your face.

As someone with a big forehead, i got bangs many times but i mostly looked ugly. Unless, i took 1/2 hrs style them. I'm still growing them out so i can't get curtain bangs yet.

IU doesn't have a big forehead though. That's why I believe the length and where you start/ section your bangs from the top of your head also makes a difference on how your forehead looks. You can have a smaller forehead and still have bangs to suit you. It makes more sense to analyze the rest of your facial features, the part that will actually be seen. Because not everyone with a smaller forehead will also have shorter features like you. They could have a longer nose, cheeks and or chin.

But even if you have a short face but have cranial high a curtain bang can still look good, it's not only about face shape, but features, visual weight and the haircut it self, it's not the same having a blunt geometric bang as having a soft wispy bangs
