Today, we're making Kujirai Ramen (쿠지라이식라면). This recipe was actually adapted from a Japanese comic series. Fans made it in Korea with Shin Ramen and it went viral! Even making it to mainstream TV!! We gave it a shot and were simply amazed by the taste. It was so good - in fact - that we had it 5 times within 2 weeks. We love it because there is no broth - meaning you don't get that bloat (or that nap afterwards heh)!
Here's how to make this Kujirai Ramen at home! I'll bet you'll be having it more than once!

I also like to drizzle some toasted sesame oil over the finished product then finish with a sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds...basically sesame is life.

I've been doing this for months, I use a pack of mushroom soup to give the ramen a mushroom flavour as well as thicken it faster .

Ramen is great but I do love the more traditional/homemade Korean food! Also, could you guys make ongsimi one od these days? I've bee. Wanting to eat it forever! Also maybe some more Korean desserts? When I cook that brand ramen with a 12 ounce can of no salt corn. I use the water from the can too. Then dehydrated mushroom, and green onions. The soup tastes so good!

We eat the Shin Ramyun a little bit similar, but kind of like a 'bokkum ramyun' - using less water (maybe half then for soup) for the noodles to completely absorb the liquid, add a tiny bit of sesame oil when done and top it off with a sunny side fried egg, finely chopped green onions and some roasted sesame seeds. It is so convenient and tasty food, we eat it pretty much once a week :) (But cheddar cheese is also very good on dry style ramyun or those samyang buldok noodles)

Daniel & Katie - I love all your videos! This may be a dumb question but when i make ramen, do i need to have that special pot to make it in general or can I use any kind of pot? I always see whether it be in real llife or kdramas they use this one particular pot & never understood why. Also, can you recommend a non spicy ramen? I want to go buy some when I head to the Korean store next but it seems they are all spicy! Love your videos! I'm coming to Korea next year for the 1st time so can't wait to eat all the food!
