This is a simple video of how to safely learn to do a cork by the FTA Head Coach, Greg Roe.
"I find a lot of athletes learn twisting by trying to stay on axis but from a youth development perspective, the psychology of the developing brain is not tuned to that style of education. It is better to start with understanding twisting before you go perfectly 'on axis.' That will happen later and to simply understand how a Back Full really works, try this skill." ~ Greg Roe

I've been trying to land the cork since before May of 2018 and now after watching this like 7 times + comparing it to what I'm doing, I'm finally getting it. Landed my first cork today, going to try to incorporate the j step into it tomorrow and take it to the ground!! Update: This is a very good tutorial now I am able to spin 3/4 of the way without feeling uncomfortable. Hopefully if I keep drilling these steps I will get my cork soon.

Thank you so much for this in depth tutorial. I've wanted to be able to spin in flips for so long, but something in my brain just didn't understand it. I looked at so many tutorials telling you to "just spin hard" which didn't help me. The specific steps laid out totally trained my brain how to do it as well as my body, and once I had the basic steps I could just spin earlier and harder to get around more and more, and I finally landed it :) I hope I can use this to figure out more spinning tricks I couldn't do before like back fulls

I think of backfull as learn, Arabian, and barani , go for an Arabian and on the frontfli bit of it, do a barani then you go a backfull, or you get an object and place it in front of you backflip and land facing it, then move it around the tramp as you twist more and more until you get full

Ha Greg, great tutorial. I am struggling were to look when I initiate the rotation for the cork. Do I look over my shoulder towards the tramp behing me or just behind me horizontally? Thnx for more tips on where and how to look. cheers.
