It's so hot here in the midwest -got to be 102F with humidity . Anything with polyester is to hot, so glad I've invested some money into second hand cotton/linen shirts ,skirts and shorts ! ! This is timely as I just want to look good and not cook to death.

I don’t always “match” (same color approximately) my belt, bag and shoes, but when I do, I love the look. Matching accessories was “out” for decades, but I never really liked the deliberate, striking mismatch, like green shoes, purple belt and orange bag, that was so popular. Those older ladies were on to something good with their matching accessories, they elegantly support and complete an outfit, instead of competing with it. I’m all for no rules, just wearing what one thinks looks best.

@@susanmullery5113 I think I saw a comment where she told someone it was from H&M. They do have a good selection of black dresses. I picked up a black short sleeved shirt dress, midi length, with a matching belt from there at the end of winter/start of spring. Last month I got a black full length sundress that is sleeveless (tank top style) with a scoop neck that has a 2” split down the center. The bottom half is a long, flowey, pleated skirt. It’s beautiful! I purchased a sage/cream (dressy) and olive green (casual) jumpsuit at H&M in 2010 when I went to visit a friend in California. Both are still holding up well. That + black jumpsuits are typically staples in their inventory, along with several other colors.

@@susanmullery5113 You are very welcome, Susan! I hope you find something you like. Some tips with their online shopping…. Things sell out rather quickly and several (not all) of their dresses run a bit larger. Most dresses that have reviews give a guideline on the garment running small - large. When only a few people have submitted reviews this can be hit or miss. When many have it’s a good guide. Anything that is a relaxed fit tends to run a bit larger. You can get a sense of this when looking at pictures.

Hello Frédérique! As always, you look so classy be it a casual or elegant outfit. I lovvvve the jewlery, and my favorite outfit was the cotton white slacks ensemble. This video is so timely bc here in South Texas, for the past three weeks, we have had temperatures of 100 degrees and above, and cotton and linen fabrics definitely are my choice during the summer months. 🤗

It’s not easy. I’m in Western NC. We can definitely reach Fahrenheit temps in 90s - 100s, and the humidity can be oppressive, but we are not as hot as Florida for the most part. Like many we’ve already experienced several 90+ degree days before the official start of summer. It’s going to be a very hot one. I’m dealing with hot flashes for the first time on top of it. I hope to have that sorted out with my doctors help after I get some lab work done soon but it’s made things harder. I will mostly be living in dresses this summer.

I just had to go London for work in the heatwave. I did all I could but England as a whole isnt built for heat. I wore silk trousers and loose tops but still smart clothing suitable for the office. Second I got on to the tube you just become a mess 🤷‍♀️

💯 with you! I have something similar to almost everything you have shown (except for a black jumpsuit), and I’ve had some of the items for several years. I have a darker sage green and cream jumpsuit and a dark olive green one. I’ve gone crazy with lighter greens this year. I now own 3 light sage green dresses, and am waiting for a darker/brighter blue/green dress to be delivered. I have dark green eyes and greens always make them pop. *Oh, dear. I also got a medium khaki green dress that falls 2 inches above the knees and is more casual and sage green blouse similar to your black one but with butterfly sleeves. I need an intervention! 😬🤣 Green has been my color this year (every year) and I know I’ve already mentioned that I had not purchased dresses in many (many) years outside of a royal blue dress for my nephews 2019 wedding. I’ve now taken care of that and gone a bit overboard but they are all different styles, tones and lengths and they all work well throughout different periods of the spring - fall. I had already purchased a few select velvet and sweater winter dresses and skirt/top sets that will get me through the coming winter. I was more sensible with black dresses (2, one casual and one a little more dressy), beige (2, one casual and one dressy) and only one floral, one beautiful cream and light orange print, one pink, one lavender, one bright red dress and one darker red/brown long sleeve dress. I’ve wanted to live in them this year. It’s already been sweltering hot, I’m dealing with hot flashes…. I’m not buying anymore and should get use out of all the above for awhile. *That was a lie. I’ve still got to find the perfect white dress. (I’m done editing now 🥹) I have a lighter beige/sand linen blazer that is cooler toned, white jeans and pants and a white silk camisole with a sheer strip at the top (as opposed to your beautiful lace one) that I love wearing together. It goes well with my light beige pants as well. I recently bought a lighter version of your first hat (thank you for the inspiration) with an off white band, and I’ve had a lighter/whiter straw hat with a polka dot taupe & white band with a cute gold chain detail for years. I had completely forgotten about it but recently re discovered it in a hat box when I was cleaning out my closet. I love hats! My mom used to buy an Easter hat and a fall/winter hat for me every year when I was growing up and that habit stuck. * I have no need to buy 2 hats a year now. I’m done growing and I buy more toboggans for winter months than anything but I do still get new hats when needed or infatuated with one. I adore the first black and tan tote you showed! I have something slightly similar that is straw and brown leather. You looked stunning in everything, including your gray jersey dress! Wear it proudly.

Loving all that you modeled with my favourite being 'a two thumbs up'' on the sage jumpsuit. As to the necklace am I correct in my assumption that it is three lengths in one? Beautiful jewellery and love the styles, especially the sage jumpsuit! You always look lovely in everything and I appreciate the variety and combinations. The editing was a bit distracting...especially how the words seems chopped or jumpy...not sure what was going on...but love the style as usual. Question: how do you wash your silk???
