If you know how to drape ur saree properly you don't need to wear an overly fitted peticoat to look slim. Also in Indian functions we very often have to sit down on the floor for rituals and it's uncomfortable to sit in a tight peticoat.

ill stitched fabric petticoat will make you bulky. Get a stitched petticoat from the tailor that's stitched by sewing together vertical (frustum shape) pieces of cloth (like a lehenga is stitched). Those don't make you look bulky. Wrap the saree snugly and tada! Only works if you're slim though. Those shapewear petticoats are hard to tuck saree in and keep them in their place (because heels and saree means less saree to tuck in and the saree keeps slipping out from behind)

It's so mind blowing - how much women put thought and effort to look good and presentable. I promise that, if the situation is approproate, I will compliment and appreciate every women around me. 🙂

Organza sarees are a strict No-No for chubby girls. It makes you look more bulky. Chiffon and pure silk sarees are the best. ❤

Tighter, curvy petticoat is a strict No! They come in a material that hugs tight to your body, and every time you sit they move up.. You don't have to sit on the floor, even sitting on a chair would move the material up, if you have pinned your saree pleats to it, then it's a total chaos.. looking slimmer is totally up to how skillfully you drape the saree, and pin-ning in the right position.

Only one way to look slimer is exercise .. dont try to hide your fat be slim and healthy too
