Do NOT subscribe unless my videos are actually helpful. The point of this channel is to help you, not promote me. So if my videos don't give you value...don't subscribe. If they do, though, please hit the sub button (it helps a lot!).
You and I are going to drink a lot of coffee together. Like, borderline dangerous amounts of coffee.
So, first things first. Pour yourself a mug and I’ll introduce myself real quick.
My name’s Jordan - but everyone calls me “J” - and I’m a 27th degree black belt in chugging coffee.
I’m also strength & nutrition coach, I hold several powerlifting world records, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have my writing featured in a variety of outlets like CNN, the Huffington Post, and Schwarzenegger.com.
But listen.
This channel isn’t for fame, publicity, cash, props, fist bumps, likes, pings, pows or whatever else there is.
It’s a place where you and I can chat.
I’ll never sugar coat, lie, or beat around the bush. I’ll tell you everything exactly as I see it. Some stuff you might like. Others you might not.
And that’s totally cool.
Either way, my goal here is to create a discussion. A place where you and I can get together, exchange ideas, and motivate each other to be better every day.
Like I said, we’re gonna drink a lot of coffee together - borderline dangerous amounts - but I’m excited. Because there aren’t too many online communities in which the sole purpose is to inspire and motivate one another.
And that’s exactly what you and I are going to do here.
To your success,
-J

I lost 140 lbs, reached my goal weight and got pregnant after 10 years of infertility! I’m so grateful to have my son wouldn’t change a thing but I am struggling to lose weight postpartum. He’s 19 months and I have about 50 extra lbs that I’d like to lose. Like you say sometimes those last 10 lbs just aren’t worth going for so honestly I’d be happy to lose 40. I weighed in at 190. Goal is 140 but I know I’d start to feel good at around 150 and then could play it by ear. I know this isn’t exactly a “mini” cut. But that’s where I’m at. I just want to feel good again and have more energy to keep up with my toddler! Thanks for everything you share… posts, videos, the book! Grateful for the help you’ve provided me!

Love these videos oh man. My mini cut started about two weeks following a fully indulgent Italy trip. Trying to get from 140 to 127 ish. Walking has been my best friend in Italy but trying to find moments during the work day to not sit is really hard- feel like i sit all day. I lift heavy 3x a week but feeling quite stagnant. Love your no BS approach to coaching - you put in work, you see results. Mazel tov on the babe!

I have not started a cut but I just wanted to thank you for the free content you put out. I have no doubt that your inner circle is worth every penny and more and hopefully I'll be able to afford it in the future. But for now, this content is so helpful to a person like me who feels trapped inside their heavy body. I love your heart for helping people and I just wanted to say it's evident. Thanks again.

Hi Jordan! Thank you, as always, for the content! This video hits home with me and continues to help me stay motivated. I am 10 months postpartum and continuing my weight loss. I am on the journey to lose the 25 lbs that snuck up on me before I got pregnant with my 3rd kiddo. I am thrilled to be down 15 lbs since I started tracking - and only 5 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight - and really getting back to portion control and increasing my veggies. My older kids are seeing their parents enjoy a cookie or ice cream every now and again but also are part of us enjoying more fruits and veggies at every meal. Really appreciate all you do and all you share!

I started my mini cut at the same time you did. Aiming to go from 172 to 162 while maintaining as much muscle as possible. I have just started trying to lose weight…again! I have done exactly what you talked about in the video - tried to lose weight a number of times, the scale didn’t move like I thought it should, and then I give up. I really appreciate your explanation about how that is totally normal for the scale to fluctuate and we just need to be patient! Thank you for these simple and practical things that we can do. I am hoping to lose around 40lbs and I need to remember that this is going to be a slow and steady process and I need to stay consistent. I am really enjoying your content on IG and I just subscribed to your KZfaq channel. Thank you!

Great vid Jordan and perfect timing as I'm just starting my own mini cut of 10-15lbs after letting myself go over the lest year or so. Similarly to you I'm not doing anything drastic, just getting back into the habit of hitting 10k steps a day and keeping a closer eye on my calorie intake as that is all I did to lose 40lbs a few years ago. Congrats to you and your wife on the birth of your little girl 😊

Hi Jordan! Hello from the little red dot called Singapore! Got inspired and motivated by your cut as I've been out of exercise for a few months due to an injury. So I started a week ago. Starting at 123 and my goal is 110. I'm 4 - 5 days in and see lots of fluctuations in my weight but not too worried about it as I used to be before as I understand that it isn't linear. Also signed up for a gym membership when I started the cut and going to be incorporating weight training during this cut. Have always struggled with trying to eat sustainably and being extremely paranoid about each calorie i consume but am trying to be more conscientious about it and to turn it into a lifestyle rather than calling it a diet. I'm excited for this next few weeks and am glad to see so many other people who are doing it as well!!

Started a mini cut today. I have 80 pounds to lose big picture, but this time, instead of going for 80 lbs all at once, I’m going to do it the sustainable way - for the first time ever. No more crazy restrictive diets. I’ve been yo yo dieting my whole life. I’m so grateful to have found your videos. I’m really hoping to join inner circle soon. Being a mom of three with two little ones (2 special needs) working from home and still trying to find ways to help my community around me… it’s not easy. But it’s doable. I’m doing it for me and I’m doing it for them!!!! I know I’m gonna have much more energy be more clearheaded after I get my health under control I have set multiple goals and divided them into a few mini cuts. First one starts today, starting weight 220 Goal weight 190 No set end date I am committing myself to 10,000 steps every day weight training three times a week I truly enjoy doing hot yoga so committing myself to that twice a week Eating 2000 - 2200 per day Thanks again for all you do! Hi Jordan! Mom of three kids (had them a year apart from each other 😅) . Gained extra 30 pounds after my last baby. Lost 10 pounds during Covid and since then stayed the same 160 lbs. Inspired by your posts, decided I have time before Christmas to feel confident again and hopefully lose the extra 15 pounds I’ve been holding on. Doing strength training 3 days a week, steps are easy to do with three small kids , haha. Still learning on nutrition though, sometimes I can go all day not eating and then enjoy take out late at night 🫢 After a week, I weighed in at 156 but went up to 158 today. And I’m not giving up! Your posts made me realize that it takes time and that I can do it! Thank you for all that you do & congratulations on your growing family!

I’m doing tons of research on doing a mini cut. Your page has been a huge source of info for me on gathering my info so I have my ducks in a row before I start. Like you, I’m noticing my pants are fitting a little tighter. Only looking to lose 10-15 pounds but want to do so at my own pace and something that is sustainable. In my past I had a history of binging and purging, so doing things in moderation is super important to me. I don’t care if it takes 6 months, I don’t want to make myself feel so limited in my nutrition that once I hit my goal weight I break the hinges and go balls to the wall. I got a personal trainer at the beginning of the year and it was a huge eye opener to me wanting to gain muscle and get stronger and I feel better than I ever have, just have a little extra weight I’d like to see come off! Starting at 170, wanting to be down at 155-160.

I just joined the IC and watch your videos while on my treadmill getting my steps in…that’s where I just was :) Started my cut on Sept. 6th and I have consistently gotten more consistent with my nutrition over these 3 weeks. Like you I am expecting a “whoosh” any day now. I’ve been weighing approximately the same over the last 6 days. Thanks to your videos and the IC, I am NOT freaking out and getting pissed off about it. Just waiting patiently, while staying the course, for the scale to catch up….I’m .8 oz from being back in the 100s :) Goal is to lose 30 lbs overall. Thanks Jordan -

I'm about a month in on my cut and I am down 6.5 lbs. I started at 185 on my way to 150-155. I am not changing much what I eat but working on portion sizes by measuring food and tracking calories. I also have started doing more cardio (walking, dance cardio, Step and a little bit of HIIT.). I've done a cut before, not to this extent but after a few weeks I get into a routine and it seems to get easier. Your reminders that the scale will go up and down has helped me not to stress. I allow myself cheat days and don't stress about them. Thank you for that advice about remembering to enjoy yourself here and there... In moderation. So far so good.

No end date, but once the holidays hit, I’ll take a pause because I’d like to just enjoy myself during all the holiday social obligations. Thanks for all the great content!

Hi Jordan! First off I find your Instagram page, very informative and I'm trying to take all your tips on board. I probably need more than a mini cut but it's a start I need! I want to lost just under 3 stone 🤞🤞

Thank you for sharing your story! Very motivating! I'm working on a cut right now after having a summer of relaxing. I got married earlier this year and was able to shed some weight. I decided to use the summer to heal my relationship around food and not stress on what I'll look like. With that being said I'm up to 165 and would like to get back down to 150-155 again. I'm hoping to dail in the nutrition also!

Thanks for sharing this. I just downloaded weight tracker app, because of that woosh you were describing. This is where i usualy gave up on my diet. Feeling more confident now that i know about this. Will try to push through with consistency🤞🏼🍀 My goal weight is exactly 10 pounds away.

I am starting mine today. I am inspired by you and I think I need this to get myself focused. Thanks for all you do! My starting weight is 274.8. I've been an inner circle member for a while but I struggle with consistency. My goal is 165. Long way to go but I'm not stopping! I've tried Weight Watchers for years and would lose then gain it back. Even made it to Lifetime once. But the last ten years have not been good weight wise. I've had health issues - breast cancer, hip replacement, 2 knee replacements, hysterectomy . I finally feel like my body is good enough physically to do this, I just have to get my process going.

I started a cut back in June! Lost several inches and took some intermittent diet breaks. Now I’m following you as I lose some more fat, not necessarily weight. Starting weight is 174, body fat is 31%. Goal body fat is 26% and I’d like to be 165 but I don’t have a specific number. I’m going to be following the 3 plates 2 snacks from your KZfaq. My workouts and steps are being met so they’ll stay the same, just need to dial in the nutrition! Thank you for helping people like me who struggle with counting calories. My relationship with food has improved so much!

Thanks for the amazing content Jordan! I started a cut yesterday as well, starting at 168 pounds and want to get down to 158 pounds. I couldn't agree more that consistency and sustainability is the right way to think about cuts. Also can't thank you enough for recommending walking as much as you do. I just moved to a city from the suburbs and I walk at least 10k steps everyday, which I can clearly tell has a positive effect on my physical AND mental health. I plan on sticking to that since I know I can sustain walking that much, and mix in 3 days a week of weight lifting, and an additional 2 days of running (I love running, I run 5k, 10k, and have run a few halfs too). The diet is the main thing I want to control (and what I've always struggled with since I am a HUGE sweet-tooth and love carbs and sugar and more sugar). I am going to start with eating 2100-2200 calories a day, which will put me at a 200-300 calorie deficit I think, and see where that gets me after 1-2 months. Thanks again for all that you do!

Thank you so much. I have been following you on Instagram for a while now and when you started talking about this mini cut, I knew I needed to learn more. On September 11, I officially started and weighed in at 152.6. Today, October 4th, I weigh 148.0. I would have quit from the yo-yo on the scale if it hadn't been for watching you. My goal is to get down to the range of 130 - 140. That is where I feel my best. I'm on my way! No specific time to get there, though it would really be nice to be in that range for my 15 year wedding anniversary, which is next August. Thank you for sharing your journey. It has helped me so much already. - Kelly PS - your little girl is adorable.

Great video with a lot of important points! I also enjoyed the BJJ intro as I got into BJJ just three weeks ago, I will have to try the wrist lock next time someone underhooks me. Im on day 3 of my month long mini cut and I'm looking to shed about 5-6 pounds because I feel quicker and more agile at that weight. I've also been working (struggling, if you know - you know) as a PT for about 8 months now and I'm doing this mini cut along side one of my clients to inspire her to stay accountable and we can go through the literal ups and downs managing our weights/intakes. I'd love to get some insights from the Inner Circle and get some inspiration for how I can go on and develop my own coaching! Thanks for the video Jordan - You always have sound advice and your journey keeps me going on the daily and focused on the habits instead of the immediate results (career-wise).

Thanks for sharing your journey! My current weight is 160lbs, 5’3 45 year old female. My goal weight is 135. I have struggled with staying within my calories because I feel so dang hungry. This time I am putting a major focus on getting 90-100G of protein per day, this helps me feel full and it’s actually hard to eat that much protein and it takes my focus from low calories to high protein. I get my steps in most days just because I’m a surgery nurse so I run around all day! Consistency with nutrition is top priority. I’m excited to see the results!

I know if I did, I'd be more motivated in the gym. I want to feel comfortable in my own skin again. excited to be doing this cut alongside you !

Joining you too! Have been working on it since I had my first baby in July 2020. Gained around 25 pounds, mostly during maternity leave, breast feeding is so hard and it definitely got to me during that time. Not an excuse but it was a struggle for me and food was my comfort. Anyways fast forward to now I’ve slowly lost about 15 but am working on that last 10, which always seem to be the hardest yet the ones that make the most difference. Would love the privilege of joining the Inner Circle to help get me there. Long time follower, aka lurker in the background 😅 Love following you and your growing Neen family! ❤️

I started at 180lbs in January and I’m currently 155lbs, and aiming for 147lbs. It’s my first time actually dedicating myself to this journey and honestly it’s been such a great learning experience. I think I tried to lose weight once before where it was pretty much just a crash diet and I lasted 6 weeks. Anyways, it’s been a great process. In fact my average weight this month is higher than last month and I’m not even mad about it! And that is progress!

Hey Jordan.. First off, an absolute congratulations is in order on your little bundle of joy!!!! It's exciting and such a wonder having a newborn. I am new to your channel (YEAH).... And I am excited 😊.... I am a stay at home mama and have been trying for months now to loose weight. I am 12 months postpartum and ready to be a healthier version of me... I have motivation, but not exactly the time with 2 babies under 3. Any advice on how to achieve success with this health journey?

This was a very helpful video, thank you! The only thing i do different is to not change the portion size but the proportion size - e.g. cutting down a part of the carb portion and amping up the veggie +fruit portion. Helps to stay full and to feel better due to increased intake of fruits and veggies.

Love your IG stories and you’ve inspired me to start my “mini-cut”. I’m 5’0 and 135 pounds. My goal is 120 pounds. My nutrition is OK but my weakness are those darn steps. I’m committing myself to 10k steps a day and 20 min of strength. I technically don’t have a goal date but would LOVE to rock a new dress for my husbands annual Christmas party! 😊

Currently doing a cut too!! I started out at 173.6 and am down to 168.4 in four weeks. Following your guidance in your book Eat It! for a rapid weight loss ascending caloric schema and happy I’m moved into my fourth week and more calories 🎉 Trying to see if it alleviates some medical stuff…and to try and take a fat off and reveal some muscle I had built, of course until Covid hit at my granddaughters 1st birthday party 😢 Back to feeling better and getting back after it all and I am succeeding ❤😅

👋 howdy jordan. Congrats to you for showing people they can have a hectic life and still achieve goals. Currently going through a mini cut..long story. Had back surgery this January after my back was broken for 6 months and didnt know for about 4 of those months (high pain threshold lol). I was an avid gym rat and weightlifter prior to my ATV accident but since have really had to restructure my workouts due to the sheer fact my body doesnt move the same. I've become very insecure in my body again (was once 230 lbs at 5'6) and lost about 80. I know I havent gained anywhere near that but clothes dont fit the way i would like them to. Eating smaller portions and trying to eat more satiating things like salads and watermelon when i have a sweet tooth. Its just daunting to feel like you're starting over from square 1. I almost feel like a failure for regressing so much even though i know its out of my control. Starting from 190 and would love to get back to 175 range. So here we go. Cheers. Love your content and congrats to you & neenz on the new addition to your beautiful family

Started my mini cut today thanks to your inspiration. I also just had a baby a year ago, well my wife did, but this is baby number 2 and it has been much harder to stay on track. During my wife's first pregnancy and my first daughters year of life I lost 40lbs!! Best shape of my life and loved it. I was down around 190 give or take. Along comes daughter number 2, yes proud girl dad!!, And the weight and management of my own health has gone down. I am right now around 215 with a goal weight of 195. Starting off by hitting the grocery store and making a promise to eat at home more, because we have been eating take out much more with the schedule of two kids, age 4 and 1. Let's crush this!!
