You and I are going to drink a lot of coffee together. Like, borderline dangerous amounts of coffee.
So, first things first. Pour yourself a mug and I’ll introduce myself real quick.
My name’s Jordan - but everyone calls me “J” - and I’m a 27th degree black belt in chugging coffee.
I’m also strength & nutrition coach, I hold several powerlifting world records, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have my writing featured in a variety of outlets like CNN, the Huffington Post, and Schwarzenegger.com.
But listen.
This channel isn’t for fame, publicity, cash, props, fist bumps, likes, pings, pows or whatever else there is.
It’s a place where you and I can chat.
I’ll never sugar coat, lie, or beat around the bush. I’ll tell you everything exactly as I see it. Some stuff you might like. Others you might not.
And that’s totally cool.
Either way, my goal here is to create a discussion. A place where you and I can get together, exchange ideas, and motivate each other to be better every day.
Like I said, we’re gonna drink a lot of coffee together - borderline dangerous amounts - but I’m excited. Because there aren’t too many online communities in which the sole purpose is to inspire and motivate one another.
And that’s exactly what you and I are going to do here.
To your success,
-J

@fat2fitgabby I eat 1800 calories a day, high protein (I aim for a minimum of 160g, though I often hit about 140g). I work out 4x a week lifting, and do 30-60 minutes of cardio after each lifting session.

There's no finish line.....LOVE that! I am SUSTAINABLY down 15lbs since mid April. The thing that has kept me going is, "you can't mess this up unless you quit!"

The “no finish line” is so important! Honestly I feel like 95% of all my weight problems started and worsened because of years of fad dieting and trying to rush to lose weight fast, only to end up gaining back the lost weight plus more. It’s been a process to shift my mindset in this but I’m there now and for the past five years, I’ve been a lot closer to my ideal weight and generally healthier than ever before. Thank you @Jordan!

@@Can_you_not thank you. Good nutrition is the most important thing and also rest when the body needs it. Concentrate on protein and good carbs for good energy. It’s very simple. If I feel super tired I just take a break and give my body the rest that it needs.

As a 50+ year old female, I agree with some of the other comments regarding fat loss with being in menopause & the amount of calories given. Nothing is easy at any age, I get that, but being “older” just makes everything that much harder since our hormones and bodies are changing.

Thanks for the information! Always learn so much from your videos while feeling motivated but not hard on myself. Have lost a significant amount of weight over a few years and hit a rough plateau this past year on top of life being busy ect. For me, getting back to basics of increasing my daily steps on top of lifting has helped me (hopefully) get past the plateau. Also it’s something you can do with others or work into your day naturally which was ideal for my life right now

i saw this show where a 555 man and a 288 pound woman both went on a fat loss journey with the same trainers. he was losing 12-15 lbs per week while she was losing 3-4 and even lost 7 in one of the weeks. she kept feeling like she wasn’t losing enough weekly and the trainers supported that mentality instead of telling her the truth which is that she was actually losing weight in a healthy and more sustainable speed, and the more you weigh the faster/more robust the weight loss will be. i just wish they would have told her that. it made me sad how discouraged she was feeling when in reality she was losing weight very consistently and very sustainably.

Thank you Sir! Today is the first time you came up in my feed and that I’m being introduced to you. This is such an informative video! My biggest take away was (#7) “There is no finish line!!!“ That was my lightbulb moment! I totally agree with the order of your list. But I think I would almost have to place #7 as #1. NOT having that mindset, has Fucked me up and stressed me out! I started my weight loss journey 3 1/2 months ago, and only lost 18 pounds and been filling bad, because I feel it should be more. But hearing you say “slower doesn’t mean bad“ is exactly what I needed to hear. So, now I say, I’ll get there, when I get there! So again, thank you Sir!🙏🏽💖
