Spec battery is 16v 4s 3,400 mah x 2 = 4s 6,800 mah not 3.7v 27,200 mah

that's correct, but unfortunately they are marketed like this as well. to be fair, if you added a buck converter and made it a 5v usb output, it would be close to 27000 maH

using 3.7 battery in 3s u got 12v, now in 3p with 3200mah u got 9600mah or 9.6ah,thats the capacity of your battery,now bms is just a battery management system making the battry to be balance ..

My e-bike is 60v, 5x12v20ah batteries. Inside the case there are 6 compartments about 21x60mm. When in 'run' mode, it is 12v x 5 = engine voltage. When an 3.2v cell is used, the charging voltage for a 60v sla battery is used 5x12.8v The rated capacity should be higher just because it is 4 cells rather than 3. I found this worth mentioning as a vid I recently watched has a 12V20ah (sla case version) having 3 cells at 3.7v while the motor/controller of a 500watt motor prefer the lower voltage when 12V is 4x3.2v cells. 54V charge 52V run 48V cut-off 64V charge 62V run 48V shutdown In my 'case' the straps for the lower side would also act as a cradle as it has to go over the plastic divider. The motor's capacitors are 'refreshed' by a 60V sla battery pack. Being connected in a series (12x4=48v, 12x5=60v,12x6=72v, 12x7=84v hub motor/speed controller) would seem to make it a continuation of what the 8 individual cells begin. 10ga wire between the cases, 6"long. The sla batteries work, they also require 'a lot' of upkeep and they do end up dying, most from being frozen. The case is durable and 12v is a 'safe limit' for 'the basement'. Drop in some 'updated items', seal the case and enjoy the maintaince free sla batteries for years to come. Come winter that is.

So satisfying to watch I recycle any LI battery I can find. Seriously many dead packs just has a bad bms the batteries can be saved! I have packs for everything from trolling motor to emergency lights. Finding good BMS can be tricky amongst the sea of junk or you can run the same leads and just manually charge with a hobby charger it balances in some cases better. Can solder fuse wire to form the series. This video is the ideal way using great cells just saying you can skip the bms and spot welder. Just have to watch batteries or add a low voltage cut off. I have had great luck using hobby chargers skipping the bms. They have a storage charge which can extend the batteries as well as a load test and a load balance. More hands on but I like that!

Qual FONTE (e tensão) você usa para carregar um pack desse 4S1P (16.8v), mestre? Se entendi bem, o LM2596 precisa que a fonte de entrada seja SUPERIOR em tensão, dessa forma para um pack desse fica mais difícil achar fontes né, as de notebook são bem mais caras. Se tiver uma alternativa mais em conta, me dê uma sugestão por gentileza?! =/

I dont think you should connect those cable to the batteries, thats for balance charge i think... You must connect batteries to the B1, B2, etc terminal with those nickel strip to able handle large current (30A to the spec of bms).. those cable you connect arent able, thats why its for balance charger like imax, etc 👍

6800 mAh capacity, max. discharge current just less than 10 A (4.875 A per battery x 2)

That battery is TINY. I am building an e-bike battery with a power of 252 Wh (14.4V 17.5Ah) with 28 cells of 2,500 mAh each. Granted, you're using higher capacity cells, but in a 4S2P package. My e-bike battery is gonna be 4S7P. 27,200 mAh would require a battery that has 13,600 mAh each. Impossible in 18650, 21700 or bigger battery sizes! Possible with g huge LiFePO4 cells, but those have different voltages. There are 100Ah LiFePO4 cells for example.

You're being silly. You'd simply use more parallel series of cells. It is not a tiny battery at all, normal size for whatever a purpose is.

Leads from the bms should all be the same length and this 2p4s battery is never going to hit 30ah. Cells should also have near equal charge prior to assembly.

Heya I loved the video man 👍 I have a question regarding my 4s BMS, I just installed one for my 4s 4p battery and I got 16.40 volts out of the BMS which is good but whenever I plug my battery to a load the battery immediately drops to 11.16 volts and but it drops to 4.8 volts when I start using the load with the battery. Can you tell me what's causing this? The BMS and battery cells are brand new.

Hello: What I can assume is that the cells are of very poor quality, possibly Chinese with large mAh numbers, they are fake. If this is the case, use Japanese cells that have high discharge capacity and are unprotected. The protection in this app gets in the way as it limits the download. I suggest you like the 3400 mAh NCR18650B, without protection, they are more expensive but well worth it. Greetings.

you didnt connect the battery plus and minus thick cables..he didnt complete the pack in the right way...b+ and b- need to connected to the battteries with thick cable or strip.

Did you try to charge the Batteries or more importanlty to connect the BMS to a charger? The BMS comes locked sometimes (like if there is short circuit for instance) and it needs to be connected to the charger to unlock itself. Mine 3S3P Pack was not working and giving me lower Voltage output (11.3V instead of 12.8V). The batteries were already charged when I assembled the pack so I didnt feel the need to connect it to the charger.... big mistake, I had to spend hours trying to trouble shoot it, I even disoldered everything and soldered twice to the same BMS board and to a new one.... When I was practically giving up I decided to connect the pack to the charger just for the heck of it... it did the trick and It has been working fine since then. ohhh mine....

Where I showed 7.8ah? These 1cell has capacity of 3.4ah each. This BMS could handle upto 30A of load.

@@LahisTechLT 4 cells make 16.8v or 4s connection. That 4 cell only provide 3.4 AH. Not 13.6 AH. Its very common calculation. You should check Google for this. How to calculate battery AH.

@@facebookmarketplace8856 (Made a mistake; I multiply the Amps as well to make 6.8Ah x4 = 27Ah) so the correction; Nominal Voltage of this battery is 3.6V. So, 3.6 X4 = 14.4V nominal. Per cell = 3.4Ah As it's in parallel 3.4Ah x2 = 6.8Ah.

3V is a good cutoff voltage for Lithium batteries, which adds up to exactly 12V. You can discharge batteries down to 2.5V and thus 10V safely, but only for low load applications. 3V is the best option as there's not much energy below 3V, most of the power is in the 3.7V range.

If you have to ask, then no, "you" can't. Someone who knows what they are doing, yes, they can use a BMS in series with the pack, and adapt a charger circuit if the original charging circuit was designed for lead acid instead of Li-Ion. Why though? Any decent UPS worth bothering with, will need far more cells to be worth the bother, and many of higher capacity, are a 24VDC system battery, not 12V. This cuts in half the current, because an UPS draws quite a lot depending on the load, so no, you cannot simply use a 3S, 18650 battery pack in an UPS to power a normal load, as the current capacity of the battery pack is too low, but if you used larger cells or in parallel to increase the current capacity, then the rest of the details can be considered. However if you were only using the UPS to power a very light load like a router and modem, then 3S of 18650 "might" work for a while but it would be wasteful then to boost the voltage to 110V/220V mains level at all instead of just regulating it to the 12VDC that many such consumer networking devices use, then avoid the extra efficiency loss from boosting voltage only to then have the equipment ad/dc adapter buck to lower voltage again.
