You are talented,it is very difficult to develop drive shaft,but you make.but here to move with pedal is not easier,now it is better to instal motor here and make it electric Bic.otherwise this is hard to move,and not such beneficial as you think.

A chain remains the best solution to transmit torque to the rear wheel. It offers less mechanical resistance as the pinion and shaft system and moreover, it allows the possibility to change gears which is not possible with the shaft /pinion system. When removing the pin of the pedal lever, I always undo the nut one or two turns and I hammer on the nut itself to loosen the pin. It avoids to damage the pin thread like it was badly done in the video.

there are 3 types of power transmission, chain, belt, shaft system. this is shaft system. you can see it in trucks when power transmit from engine (front) to tyres (rear). mostally used in trucks.

Идея конечно интересная. Но не доработанная. Надо звездочки сделать специальные, как в часах, чтобы они были налажены и заточены под это дело, одна крутит другую, а та уже вращается и позволяет ехать велосипеду при взаимодействии педалей и человека. А то оно приварено и жёсткость конструкции нарушена при распиле. А если довести до ума эту версию. То будет очень достойная замена цепной версии велосипеда

Great idea, but you have to be careful with shaft drive as they don't allow for snatch and you can get a nasty injury if this happens. There's a reason so many bikes stayed with chains.

Chain is needed to reduce the input of pedalling power. It will not work going up the hill without bearing & chain, unless your are a superhuman being.
