How long to make sure the body ( hollow) dries evenly with solid parts?
@AaronSpongArt4 жыл бұрын
Saundra, I usually let piggy banks dry for 3/4 days before firing in the kiln.

This is so awesome! Thanks for the tutorial! I have been looking everywhere for a piggy bank with no plug (what's the point of that!?) for my girlfriend. I'll just make her one! :)

How do you get the money out?
@AaronSpongArt5 жыл бұрын
Lol you have to break it. If you want, you could cut a hole in the bottom and then add a cork in the opening :)
@christinemunoz42105 жыл бұрын
What I did was leave a hole big enough to to shake the money out. Worked. And he turned out super cute!! Thanks for the video

It seems like the clay you used for the punch pots. was a bit hard and they Clay I used was much softer. Did you let them stiffen up before attaching? They didn’t collapse at all! You made this look so easy dude. When I went to try it was a shit show omg
@AaronSpongArt4 жыл бұрын
Lily, I used stoneware clay. It's not too soft and good for use with classroom students. Also, be sure not to use too much water as it can weaken the clay.
