A steel top would improve the arrow flight. Fletche's would make it even better.

You have most likely already figured this out, but your bow string is far too loose. You need to have a string short enough to be able to keep constant *tight* tension on the bow. If the string starts to slack, pull it tighter and tie a new knot.

Needs a piece of spring steel on the top to hold the arrow down, also you should have front heavy arrows with wooden fins on the back. Nice start though.

You need to put feathers or fletching on the back end of the arrows. That way they will fly straight. KZfaq has many videos on how to do it.

The arrow need a heavier tip and feathers for stabilizing the flight.

the problem is the arrow not the crossbow. arrow needs ballance to the front with wings to the back
