★ Some people are using a cyclone dust collector and the vacuum cleaner filter is clogged. I have received a comment saying, "Since the vacuum cleaner filter is clogged, I installed another filter outside." This time, I thought about an inexpensive Pre-filter that can be used in such cases.
As an enclosure, a commercially available round can (3L) is used as a chamber.
I'm using a cyclone 2-cylinder in-line-4 cylinder dust collector and I haven't had any experience with the vacuum cleaner filter itself getting clogged.
In the case of a cyclone dust collector If the vacuum cleaner filter is clogged, it should be replaced or cleaned. I think many people think that.
In cyclone dust collectors, the majority of dust that reaches the vacuum cleaner filter is micro dust. In the case of micro dust, it penetrates into the stitches of the filter and accumulates, so the suction power decreases. Seen from the vacuum cleaner, the filter just before is clogged, so the effect is great.
So I thought about a Pre-filter that hardly reduces the suction power of the vacuum cleaner and prevents clogging. If you like it, please give it a try.
★ Consideration
The decrease in suction power is not felt so much. Even if you use a bellows, I think that there is no problem if you use it short.
Since the thickness of the bottom of the can is thin, support is required for the piping on the bottom side. Take appropriate support methods by installing the chamber.
The dust collecting power is outstanding. Since we use a paper pack for a vacuum cleaner, the amount of micro dust that goes to the vacuum cleaner side is zero.
・ Holsaw requires 42 or 43φ. This is quite expensive, so be careful before you start. 1,290 yen online. → Since the plate thickness is 0.6 to 0.7 mm, the cut is not good even if you use a drill, but it is possible.
★ About material purchase
・ 3L with round cans is available at the home center, and M Taro costs 409 yen (excluding tax).
・ The TS valve socket (30) is located at the home center, and it costs 58 yen (excluding tax) for M Taro.
・ The locknut may not be in the home improvement store. It is sold as a single item on the net (71 yen per item, no tax and shipping not included).
・ The reducer is an electrical material and has a standard of 36-42. However, I don't think this is in the home improvement store. Even M Taro did not sell it separately (sold 10 pieces), so I made it.
・ Bolts and nuts, rubber washers, and rubber sheets are available at home improvement stores.
・ 10 vacuum cleaner filters (common to all companies) was 499 yen (49 yen per sheet).
* If you cannot get the locknut, it is better to buy all the materials including the paper pack online. At home improvement stores, "bulb sockets" and other items were three times as expensive as the net. Mr. M has a shipping fee of ¥ 500, so bulk buying is a great deal. (Lol)
