May I request a tutorial for hanging installations where there aren’t clear areas for hooking or attaching things? I’d like to do hanging greenery that drapes across the room but the venue ceilings are two stories high. Standing installations would me amazing too! Thanks as always for your videos
@FlowerMoxie
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
Ah, installs can be so tricky. Does the venue allow for hooks? I'm afraid a command hook wouldn't be strong enough.

Thank you for the tutorial ❤️ may I know if you will place the bouquet in the vase before sending to the bride ? Will the fresh flower die when they leave the water for too long ?

Great question, Chloe! Yes, I always deliver all bouquets in a hydration vase and urge my client to pop it back in the vase when they are not using it. Most flowers hold up just fine throughout pictures and ceremony, it's just Hydrangeas you've got to be careful with and pop them back into water more frequently. Overall, bouquets hold up just fine, but they always look rough at the end of the night and ain't nothing can be done for it. =)

Thank you for the wonderful tutorial! I have a follow up to this question. When you have a larger crisscross bottom what are you using for hydration? The vases my boss uses aren’t wide enough for this.

diy bride here. i love the look of mixing dried with real flowers. would storing them in water overnight or in wet floral foam for a center piece damage the dried items in any way?
@FlowerMoxie

It will be just fine! Try to avoid spraying down dried with Crowning Glory, but other than that they will hold up just fine even if their stems are in water or foam. XXXX, Amy

When putting the bouquet in water how do you stop the dried flower stems from getting wet? Do you wire them so only wire goes in water? Beautiful bouquet btw

So you just leave the egg in the bouquet? I have the 6in and you could see it under the flowers? How do I cover that?
@FlowerMoxie
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
The one we used is a 4" oval shape, the 6" would be better to use for an arrangement, or else you can continue to add product to cover your mechanics! You'll leave the egg in the bouquet, it's establishing the foundation of the bouquet.

What type of ribbon do you recommend if you don’t have time to tie it at the venue
@FlowerMoxie
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
There are so many options! We like a double faced satin ribbon, but chiffon, silk and velvet also work too! It all depends on what the vibe is. If you're tying the ribbon beforehand, make sure to have the bouquet stems just kiss the water in their hydration vase, this will ensure that your ribbon doesn't get soaked!

@@FlowerMoxie how do you keep them hydrated if you want to completely cover the stems in ribbon (obviously not when the stems are splayed out or this arrangement)? And if you do have the stems peeking out the bottom, is there a risk of staining your dress? This always scares me lol

How far in advance can you make this bouquet? Will the dry be okay on water for 1-2 days?
@FlowerMoxie

We recommend creating this 1-2 days before the wedding. The dried material will be completely fine, even if the stems are in water!

Does the cage still show in the back?
@FlowerMoxie
@FlowerMoxie Жыл бұрын
In the tutorial it does, but if I was making this for a client, I would cover the mechanics by pulling in greenery or baby's breath tighter so the cage would not be seen.
