Question of the day, can you stretch 1300 feet of field fence at once? First we need to make a fence stretcher, then I guess we will find out. :)

Thank you. Practicing, yeah thats what it was. lol The shop is nice to have, it gives us a dry place to work in the winter. :)

Job well done. You have some nice welding tools (wire feed welder, vice on a stand--I hadn't seen a vice mounted like that before. I guess it gives room to work around it?) The come-along worked well. Perhaps a 12 volt winch may have made it a bit easier and saved your back a bit. I have an old hydraulic TULSA winch that I plan to someday mount on the Case 580ck but perhaps that would be overkill for small jobs and not a precise. Good work on the fencing!

I mounted the vise on the stand cause I needed it to be portable, it works good but it would be nice to have one mounted to a bench. If the rams on my backhoe didn't bleed down I could have used the backhoe to pull the fence but I wouldn't have enough time to tie the fence off before I lost the tension. The backhoe runs great for what I use it for but its no spring chicken. lol :)

You have a backhoe and you use a comealong ? You thinking that the backhoe would over pull the wire ?

The backhoe is old and the rams leak down so it wouldn't hold pressure long enough for me to tie the wire off. the come-along wasn't to bad though. :)
