110 gallons a year??? Wow. My wife and I are super efficient. Barely do dishes, hang dry clothes almost entire year. Only use gas stove and hot showers etc. We are only 3 people. Our propane water heater must be super crappy inefficient because we easily burn through 230 gallons a year. Forgot to mention our furnace, which I try to use sparingly in Winter. do yoy use a furnace to heat your house? 240 g/propane still isn't terrible, but 110? Amazing! Do you know how many gallons you used before the tankless install?

@KoalityofLife can you give an update on this unit? I watched your video among many others and decided to pull the trigger on this particular one. Pros/cons? Any repairs? How often are you descaling? Thanks for any additional info!
@KoalityofLife14 күн бұрын
No repairs as of yet, I descale ours about every 6 months or so but we have really nice water from our well so I don't think it needs it that often but this depends on your water. Pros, our propane bill is really low because this unit is really efficient and you can take a shower for as long as you want. Cons, You can take a shower for as long as you want, this might make you late on occasion as you enjoy a shower for to long. :)

I used to work where the parking lot was next to a creek and blackberry bushes. I had several infestations over the years. The one trick I learned was spraying the top of the engine, undercarriage, tires, the interior of the car, and ground where I parked with a concentration of peppermint oil and water. Not only did it successfully deter the mice, it also made my car smell good. Probably the most important part of the car to protect is the air intake duct. They love to build a nest in the air filter housing, and they'll use the fiber to build they're warm nest. Worse yet, once they chew thru the air filter, they'll crawl into intake manifold. Then when you go to start the car, mice fragments and filter fibers will enter your cylinders, clog the valves, and damage the pistons. So if I discover a mouse in my engine bay, the first glue trap is going at the entrance of the air duct and I'm also checking to see if the filter has already been chewed. But one thing also to keep in mind. When the mice are already in the car or engine bay, you need to set up traps with bait. But at the same time, create a barrier around the car with a deterrent to keep other rodents from entering.

that is NOT SHIELDING,,,,,, that is the conductor that carries power to the torch and contact tip ,,,,, it becomes HOT when you pull the trigger via the contactor inside the machine, it carries all the current for welding. and yes if part if that conductor is fraid and pulled away from the torch as in your case,,,, you are limited on how much power you can send to the torch,, the shielding gas hose goes right up the middle of that conductor that is fraid,, and yes it means you need a new torch unless you are are very industrious little raskel and decide to fix it your self,,,,, which can be done.

There's always another way to do it, always safety first. This looks sketchy (and I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried when I was doing it) but it was truely really stable. It never once shifted or moved in a way that made me feel like it was going to fall. Still made me nervous and I kept my head on a swivel looking at everything to make sure I was safe and I had an exit route if something were to go wrong. Thanks for watching :)

I realize this is an older video. However, I can't understand how once you press the button it constantly feeds. I guess when you press that button, the broken shield wire mess wires somehow contacts the button wires at that end constantly than. Other than that, I can't see how a partially broken shield mesh could cause such a malfunction. When you taped over the shield mesh, you kept it from making contact with the button wires there... The broken shield wires had to be piercing the button wires. No other way it could make it feed constantly. The voltage coming through that entire weld length whip/torch wire is no more than about 30 volts or less. Not high enough to transfer via high voltage...
@KoalityofLife2 ай бұрын
I do not know the specifics behind it as I'm not an electrician but I know the shielding is there for a reason and when it is compromised undesirable things happen. Wrapping the shielding fixed the problem so I replaced the whole hose/whip. Thanks for watching. :)

Looks nice but you are skirting the line between a shed. I have read the firewood needs to be stored off the ground on a platform and that you need air flow if you are storing the wood for a long time. I think you have too many boards on the side. Your building looks more like a place for a 4 wheeler etc.
@KoalityofLife2 ай бұрын
Thank you. I have been using this woodshed for 2 winters and have not had a problem. As far as I know firewood needs to be off mineral soil, I put gravel down inside the woodshed to prevent the firewood from being in contact with mineral soil. I could have installed a subfloor but it would have added to the cost of building a simple woodshed and a subfloor would give skunks and other rodents a place to burrow under and make into a home. If someone were to split and stack firewood in the spring the firewood would need more air flow to dry it out. The larger the gravel you use the more air can circulate under the firewood. I stack my firewood in the fall after it has had all summer to dry out. Hope this makes sense and thanks for watching. :)
