Thanks Paul. I have used an uncoated square carbide insert. Not sure what the insert code is supposed to be as there is no designation on the package (Adendorff EACUTT201). It seems to like cutting at a 45-degree angle to the face. That is why my fly cutter has a flat bottom.

Hi Alex, the carbide insert needs to be in the center and not the tool itself. The offset help to center the carbide insert.
