I hope this finds you well. I had some difficulty seeing how you tied the knot/beds and it took some thinking on my part to realize what I was doing wrong when I realized that the "beads" were simple stopper knots. I had always tied them using may finger rather than the straw as you had. Very nice tutorial non the less. Be well, be with god.

Great tutorial, thank you. Any chance can you do one on how to create a loop at the end? So you can use a pendant instead of a 550 cross?

That is a prayer rope of your own concoction. An Orthodox prayer rope consists of 33 Chotki or Komboskini Knots each of which is comprised of 7 crosses. ( prayer ropes of up to 300 of these knots are also used). The knots used in this video are common knots used in cord rosaries and have been used for decades excuse the pun.

Nothing is common that our Lord Jesus Christ uses for his glory and the wellbeing of his children. May the Lord Jesus richly bless you as you follow him ever deeper into abundant life!

Hi tu rosario es de 3 decenas? Saludos

I love how you compare making a prayer rope to making a lightsaber. XD

what length paracord do you use? Is it 550 ?

I just wanted you to tell me how to pray because I'm going to do the same. I thought your idea was great but I wanted to learn how you prayed. And that replaces the 5 accounts prior to the royal Rosary cross?

I actually use the Orthodox Jesus prayer with my prayer rope. You can read a how-to here. www.svots.edu/saying-jesus-prayer

@@NateBostian I already read what you sent me. from where I can get the prayer of Jesus and the explanation of how to pray this prayer in the Rosary. Thanks!!

Hello, greetings from Argentina! Do you have any tutorial to help me make the cross? it's awesome!
@NateBostian3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not. I have to do trial and error until I figure it out every time!

There are numerous examples of how to make a cross out of paracord. Just do a simple online search.
@martingabrielcastro28443 жыл бұрын
How did you make the cross? You pray with those 4 knots of it? Thank you for your time!
@NateBostian3 жыл бұрын
I figured out how to do the cross by trial and error. So, unlike the rest of the beads, I cannot really teach how to make it!

Do you remember how much Paracord you used? Sth like 400 cm?

These are called barrel knots. I don't think you are claiming that you created the knot nor the process. These are fun to tie. I believe they are also called surgeon's knots or blood knots.
@NateBostian5 жыл бұрын
Raven North Thanks. No, I’m not claiming I invented them :-) I just was imitating the knots I saw on the prayer rope I had. Now I know a name for the knot style! Thanks!

@@NateBostianNo stress.. I kind of worded my post weirdly.. I wasn't trying to suggest you were claiming that either. I guess that's the danger of posting while not fully awake :) Have you tried a 2 color version?

Prayer ropes are far older than the rosary which is a later derivation of this.
