Hi Dennis, thank you. I haven’t sold anything yet. As you can imagine is hard to sell wooden things to woodworkers. They can make all of this themselves

I've been needing a spline jig for a while. I like this design that rides on the fence better than the one I was going to build that rides in the table slots.

I like that better too. Pluss you can move the fence over if want a wider slot

While I may use glue on subassemblies, I never glue main frame components. I prefer to do things like having t-nuts or threaded inserts on my main fence straddle, and add specialized jigs as required. I also do not glue my 'straddle' as I feel like I have some adjustment if required. I'm not saying this is a bad idea. I'm just saying I do it differently. This is the magic of wood working. There are any number of ways to solve a problem. Every one that works is the right way for you.

Hey Skyler, I'm making a similar jig as we speak. The only difference is I want mine to serve 2 purposes. First, I made the box around my table fence and then attached a vertical piece to it on the blade side to use when making rabbets, grooves, tenons, dados, etc on smaller pieces of end or edge grain. Second, instead of gluing and screwing the piece with your 45 guide boards on it, I want to be able to attach/detach this piece so it's on only when making splines. Does that make sense? It's basically 2 jigs in one. Your method made both as well, except you can't separate the spline part when you need to make a tenon/rabbet so you need an additional jig. Had you not glued/screwed that last piece, any idea on how you could make that removable and maintain the accuracy?

They're called "mitre keys." A spline is a concealed tongue down the length of the mitre.
