That's how I do it, the the barrel swivel between the braid and leader line keeps you from losing your bobber when the leader breaks off. Trust me you dont want a uni to uni there you're going to lose your bobber a lot got tire of seeing mine float off
@TheFishAndTrips3 жыл бұрын
I lost 3 of these bobbers the first time and I was soooo mad seeing them just float off 10 feet from the jetty out of reach.😩😭😤
@briarfox6373 жыл бұрын
Not a bad setup right there. Also effective on the pier at night
@TheFishAndTrips3 жыл бұрын
Indeed and thank you!

I used to use nearly identical rig for pike and walleye. Exact same floats actually. I dont use bait that much these days but talk about effective! It worked!

Great info will definitely give the slip bober a try I have mainly just been using a popping cork has been working great but being able to adjust your depth on the fly without retieing seems like the way to go
@TheFishAndTrips3 жыл бұрын
It's a game changer James. Just keep adjusting until you find out how deep they are and you'll slay them.
@jameshaines6043 жыл бұрын
@@TheFishAndTrips sweet thanks for the tip just out of curiosity which jetty did you enjoy moe Surfside or quintana
@TheFishAndTrips3 жыл бұрын
It was the first time I fished Quintana and it was crazy that day! Now Surfside was where the Jacks and sheepshead were being caught. So it seems like the bigger fish are on Surfside but the trout are on Quintana side.
