This is my How to Make a Street Photography POV video. Hopefully this helps some of you to create your own channel and videos. Obviously, it is very subjective, but atleast you have a foundation to build on other than the over abundant GoPro videos we see now a days. Have fun and experiment with STORY ;)
Here's an example of what my "POV" has evolved into. Amazing what you can do if you stretch the limits and question the status quo of what POV videos should look like. This was mine:

Yeah man, doesn't hurt to get a different perspective and an approach on how people create. Steal some or don't steal any, as long as youre still tryna sharpen the blade.

I felt called out on that „shooting on a 15mm is really hard“-part haha. Great video and sharing of knowledge. You taught us how to compose a perfect pop song, so it’s on us now to spice it up and maybe mix some jazzy vibes into it ✌🏼

Intention is key and very well demonstrated this lesson. POV has a voyeuristic quality that works in story telling, but it can't be the sole perspective. This was a great "behind the scenes" look at your process and really demonstrates the thought and care you put into your work. Thanks for sharing.

@jaeAre200

I would say, don't put too much pressure on it. Rather than story, think of it as a "reason" to go out and shoot. Then just see how it goes from there. Beginning, middel, end. Reason, how its going, summary of the day.

Nice video! So funny cause ill be changing the format of my major review videos, using my Go Pro more as the vehicle to the real world examples. As opposed to forcing it on the street with a friend on a big camera following me, making myself look like a peacock. I guess you'll see what I mean later, but some of your points are good food for thought. It's funny cause some of the good stuff you're talking about I've done just as it feels natural to do. And some of the stuff you say is bad? I think you have your opinion.. What's interesting or not to you is not always the same for everyone. But what is true is that many people think alike and we can at least focus on those people who do. The audience who appreciates is the audience we should continue to make content for. So I respect you for sharing it as someone trying to elevate yourself and others as opposed to keeping it to yourself and being another critical comment section troll! Keep it up baby!

Much appreciated for the support and words. But I think you very much "get it." Get it in terms of, I speak hyperbolic at times for comedic purposes to drive certain points home, but the overall message is more important--experimenting and not accepting a status quo for filmmaking/KZfaq shit/street POV etc. And rather than talking shit behind closed doors, I try and put out something of value.

I respect that. But are you saying this as a Viewer OR Creator?? Because if you're saying it as a viewer, I'd actually love for you to send me an example of a really good youtube video with a photographer that shows absolutely no face time. I'm not trying to be insulting, just genuinely curious to see how that would play out in terms of format and editing.

@@jaeAre200 An example of a video would be Austin Augies 3 Days in Iceland, but i’m also saying it as a potential creator, a lot of people - myself included might not feel entirely comfortable going on camera, maybe that’s something I have to get over but I think if I can portray story without showing my face then maybe that’s better? I don’t know i’m still trying to figure it out
@jaeAre200

@@matthewthomas5997 Just watched the video...it's coo. Again, it's not as literal as I layed out in the video, BUT there's still a human connection in the video with boyfriend and girlfriend. Which brings me to where I figured you were going...being uncomfortable and scared is another issue in itself. Sadly, it comes with the terroritory. Just like an athlete has to perform in crowds or a musician in front of an audience. Something you have to deal with. Obviously I'm talking about Street Photography specifically. OR, just do what feels right and make some dope shit!!! Something never before seen that's captures a new way of doing street. (Btw, I'm someone who had stage fright growing up, talking in front of people/audiences. I decided to do standup comedy at age 24 to tackle that fear straight on)
