This Is How I Make AI Images To Be Used For Laser Engraving. Especially 3D Depth Images For Engraving On Slate.
All images in the video are created using AI. I also used photoshop to convert to black and white and inverted the colours. This can also be done for free using Imag-R.

Excellent results 👏 might be interesting to try generating the depth mapped images where the laser power is varied across the image to emgrave less or more into the surface of wood to give a 3d effect 🤔

thankyou for sharing, can i ask, what post settings are you using on the laser? and I assume you are using lightburn?

Yeah it’s lightburn. Without checking I believe it was 6500mm/min and max power set at maybe 60%.

It can be, but not exactly in the way it shows in this video. I’m making another video that will show how to convert it to be used with cnc 👍🏻

You typed Caved instead of Carved in your prompt. I think that is why you were not getting the results you were looking for.

The dpi on the mouse is super sensitive. I can’t use a standard mouse anymore. There is an option to watch the video slowed down, hopefully that’ll help 👍🏻

I don’t have that sort of power I’m afraid 🤷🏻‍♂️😜 But I’m all for it! It will never fully replace art/ design but it does help some of us along the way 👍🏻
