The long awaited tutorial for the croc tail!! This was taken from Bowser's 2nd timelapse video, so if you already saw that, this doesn't really have any new information. But if you wanted to have a concise video just about the tail, here it is for you to bookmark!

Have you ever tried siliconized/ down alternative/ mochi stuffing? people use them for minky plushes to be able to stuff lighter/squishier without wrinkles, it seems like it might work well for a tail. it is more expensive than regular polyfil or pillow stuffing.

I've actually recently bought a lil bundle and was excited to try it in some smaller applications! I would be using it more often like for tails but as you said it's more expensive, so I'd have to raise my tail prices to compensate for it... haven't really decided yet.

I love watching your tutorials! They’ve helped quite a bit! I wish you had one on a kemono bat though… I understand that isn’t a very uncommon animal to have as a fursona, but gosh! I dunno where to start on making mine when I have almost nothing to guide me! Especially since I’m a beginner at all this!

one of my two main fursonas is a bat and it SUCKS there arent many tutorials out there!!! i would love to try kemono but i havent gotten the confidence to try yet... but once I do i promise i'll be uploading videos about what i find!! for now i guess just google images of kemono bat characters for inspiration on the shape?

@@freckledcatcreations oh my god I’m so glad to meet someone else who has a bat as one of their fursonas lol. I would be delighted to watch when you are ready, so far all I’ve been doing is comparing kemono and a bat tutorial I managed to find. Hoping it turns out the way I want 🤞

I was wondering if you were going to hand sew the spikes on but your idea of sewing it as one big piece was a much better idea. Timesaving too.

oh YES lol I wanted to connect them all at the very bottom so it was just one piece to sew in and the distance between each spike was consistent and didn't shift around!!

Im new to making fursuits, and just got a sewing machine! i was wondering, what do you think is the best setting for sewing fur? i found the straight stitch is okay, but i wanted a suggestion from someone with experience!

Honestly a straight stitch is just fine for fur. When I make tails or arms I just do a straight stitch. For bodies, they will get more wear and tear, so I combine a straight stitch with a zigzag to give it more strength! In my bodysuit videos from Butternut I go into the stitch I use for the body.

I know this is very unrelated. But I was maybe thinking about commissioning you for a mini partial in the future. The character is a griffon and he has a beak. Do you do bird suits/ have you ever done one?

he sounds so awesome! i love birds and gryphons! So, bird beaks take a lot more skill to get right, and I wasn't sure my skills were good enough for them in my last opening (in 2021). but I am really excited to finally try one soon! I hope to pick one bird for my next opening (in the next couple months)

I'm using the 4432!! i think the only diff between the model numbers is how many extra unnecessary quilting stitches there are!
