Hi there!!! What can I use to substitute for the TAMARIND PASTE? We don’t have it here in our place. Thank 😇🙏💖you so much. More power and keep safe always.
@melissashomecooking1807
@melissashomecooking1807 11 ай бұрын
@jacquelinetomarocon4429 You may try substitute the tamarind paste with 1 tablespoon lime juice + 1 tablespoon brown sugar = 2 tablespoon tamarind paste. It won't give you the authentic taste but probably the best substitute. Have you tried checking out any Asian groceries supermarket where you lived for the tamarind paste?

Thanks fr sharing,may I know why the peanuts need to be blanched please?
@melissashomecooking1807
@melissashomecooking1807 3 жыл бұрын
Most welcome, Priscilla. It is preferable to use blanched peanuts as the skin of the peanuts will change the flavour.

@@melissashomecooking1807 thanks for your reply!so u mean that you remove the skins after blanching them, right?
@melissashomecooking1807
@melissashomecooking1807 3 жыл бұрын
@@priscillasim6608blanched peanuts are those without the skins. You can still use peanuts with skins, just more work having to remove the skins, after roasting them.

How long will it keep in a jar in the fridge?
@melissashomecooking1807
@melissashomecooking1807 8 ай бұрын
@enginkemal7398 For about 2 weeks in the fridge but make sure you use a clean dry spoon everytime you are using it. Longer up to 6 months in the freezer. But if you sterilized any sealed bottle and lids properly and pour hot boiling sauce in it, it should keep up to a year in a cold dark place in the pantry. Happy Cooking!😊
