📢 Recipe :
(Makes about 9 individual buns)
500 grams of sifted flour
1 tablespoon dry yeast
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 tablespoon of salt
1/4 cup of oil
1/4 cup of water (320 ml)
For coating:
A small bowl of water
Small bowl with bagel mix or any other spices or plain.
For brushing:
a little quality olive oil (if you want, not required)
activate the yeast: warm water (not boiling!) with yeast and sugar, mix well, and let rest until doubled in volume
The amount of water, yeast, and sugar are listed in the recipe
In the mixer bowl, put flour, yeast, and sugar, add liquids gradually (water and oil), and knead for 8 minutes. After 8 minutes of kneading, add a tablespoon of salt and knead for at least another 2 minutes.
Let the dough rise until doubled in volume, divide into 100-gram balls, let rise for 10 minutes, then roll out with a rolling pin and roll into a sausage shape. Give an additional rest of ten minutes ( It will be easier to work with the dough)
After resting, use your hands to roll each strip of dough into a longer sausage, dip it in a bowl of water, and immediately after in the bagel mixture. Place in a pan with baking paper, and let it rise until it doubles in volume. Bake at 200 degrees 392 F turbo until brown. (In my oven it took about 17 minutes, the duration varies from oven to oven, please note). When the rolls come out of the oven, wait for them to cool down and pack them in a bag with a seal, keep them in the freezer, and always have fresh and super tasty rolls, for toast or sandwiches.
