I started making my own bread a bit over a month now. I bake a loaf about once every 5 days and this is my go to bread recipe. I love it so much. It's simple AND it tastes great. I truly recommend it for people starting to bake bread. It's truly a forgiving recipe. I want to add that if you're doing this recipe for the first time you should definitely cover it up with some foil about 15 minutes in because it browns quickly. The first time I baked this bread I burnt the top because I wasnt attentive, but I just removed the crust and it still tasted great.

I found your recipe yesterday. I can't tell you how many recipes I've sifted through trying to find one that actually worked. I made yours today. PERFECTION! The simplest, most uncomplicated recipe (I'm a novice), yet it turned out the most beautiful, light and fluffy loaf of bread! Airy yet sturdy crumb, it will stand up to any Dagwood Sandwich. And the flavor is divine. I topped mine with Poppy and Sesame seeds. This is my go-to recipe from now on. Folks, you have to bake this bread! Thank you! Marilyn in Arizona

I love your positivity. I've only tried to make pizza dough in the past and realized I didn't let it rest long enough which was why it was fighting with me when trying to stretch it. Can't wait to try making my first loaf of bread tomorrow!

I have watched this video like 10 times in the last two days. I am 37 and have never baked a loaf of bread. This was the best video I could have asked for! The way you explain how to let the dough rest and other snippets was SO useful. I made a loaf yesterday that was blah. And tried again today and omg! Soooo yummy. Thank you for this video!!!

This lady is really awesome, very clear , concise and explained everything in simple, easy to understand language. Very easy to follow. Great video. I've never baked a loaf of bread in my life, but this video just inspired me to order 4 new bread loaf baking pans off Amazon. Going to go to the grocery store tomorrow and get all the ingredients. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks Bread Lady !!!!

I haven’t made homemade bread in years. This week I’ll try yours using King Arthur’s and Wheat Flour.I’d rather make my own bread than store buy. Looking forward to trying this! I may make a little extra and do fried bread (similar to naan) as well.

Wow! Made two loaves today, I substituted honey for cane sugar, and it was perfect. I spent two weeks trying to make bread without success, I stumbled on your recipe and just liked how you explained everything in detail and showed the kneading step.. I followed the recipe to the T ! I now have a recipe I can trust and will be making this weekly ❤ Thank you.

I just made this bread today after watching this video, and I have got to say its the best tasting homemade sandwich bread I've ever made. It really makes a difference doing it all by hand vs using a bread machine or even just using a stand mixer. Excellent recipe, easy to follow instructions, all around this is going down in my cookbook as a winning favorite.

I've tried to make bread before and failed. I decided to give it another go and found this video. I followed it step by step and in real time. It was great to be able to do that by the way. The result was amazing. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is probably the best tasting bread I've ever had. Obviously ingredients play a part in this (I used high quality flour, etc.) but it must be acknowledged that the teaching did too. What was a revelation to me was the statement "read the food not the recipe!" that made all the difference. Not being confident in my cooking, I sweat over the recipe, but taking on this advice made me relax and trust myself to just monitor the mixture. This means that I didn't stress when I needed to let the mix rest, etc. which were more than double what she said - I'm assuming because the temperature was low. I stuck to that concept of read the food. Right up until the end ... just as I thought the bread was right, it was about 5 minutes too early, I thought "it looks right, but it's 5 minutes too early, I'll just wash my hands and then take it out of the oven". Literally, in that time the top burnt a little bit. But the end result was amazing. Thank you so much. I will bake a couple of more loaves of bread while watching this video until I feel confident to do it on my own. But folks, in my opinion take on board her statement "read the food not the recipe". P.S. I'm having trouble not cutting more slices to eat now. :)
