I'm 63 years old. My dad cooked all the time. My favorite thing was to sit and watch him cook as he told me stories about his past and my grandparents. I loved the recipe, but the discourse between the two of you brought me to tears. I implore everyone who has the privilege to stand in the kitchen near their mom or dad, that you let their love and wisdon soak it into your soul and pass it down the line as far as you can. thank you for this video

Thank you for sharing your version of Mac and Cheese! Plan to make for New Year’s Day along with greens, Black Eye Peas, garden fresh salad on the side, broccoli and fried cabbage! Dad and daughter have that joy of the Lord together which flows into the meal! My dad also prepared many meals and I enjoyed our time together while he prepared his specialties! OMGosh! Nearly 2 years ago, after 70 years of marriage to my mom, dad transitioned at 90. Four months later, my mom transitioned at 88. Thus, those blessed with dad and mom here, please thank God for blessing you and spend as much time with them. Grace and Mercy be with you🙏❤️😊

We use ‘Wax Paper’ Oven Safe as a lining between the foil and Food. We lightly butter grease the ‘Wax Paper’ So the Cheese Topping does not stick.

Then on top of that you've then got to do transcript coz big arse raas adults too lazy to think for themselves. I don't think so. Not everyone got time to spoon feed big lazy grown adults!

Looks delicious, when you put the mac&cheese in another pan, add some water in the second pan to keep the Mac,, &cheese moise. Another tip is to put a little mustard to sharpen tasre of the cheese. Well done sir.

I bet his macaroni is delicious, right now with covid 19 ba4 I dont want to eat alot of flour in my macaroni and process cheese in a bag. I'm not messing around with listeria, now there is diabeties 3 mess your memory up. I love to cook, food that will be delicious and healthy to eat, very favorable.

To go foil-less you can use a water bath. Use an oven-proof container, fill with water and place on the bottom rack. It creates a sauna-like condition in the oven.

This is great. Love the preaching interspersed throughout. It’s encouraging and spot on. My Jamaican dad passed away last week. He also loved to cook. Cherish these moments with your dad because when they’re gone, they’re gone. But memories last a lifetime and I hold on to the hope that I will see him again in heaven. Keep up the good work. If you want a more solid Mac just cover it with foil and cook it longer at a lower temperature. Also, waiting for it to set for 30-45 minutes will make it more solid.

I get a little vex from comments going after Sasha's inquisitiveness for those who want to ask questions because something is not clear in the procedure and she's totally aware of that - she is like the cooking for dummies voice over; She's somewhat an interpreter for Deddy my guy. Nonetheless for me it is definitely that daddy-daughter dynamic that I love about the show plus the appearances from Mom Mark and Delia love it love it love it. The connection is what me Love.

Rule #1 I learned from Italians. Don't add oil to pasta water. It prevents sauces from absorbing completely into the pasta. 😉 I never added onions to my mac and cheese accept caramelized onions as a topping. But I'm a try it. That sounds good.

@Hervin as an African-American and master mac & cheeser The oil helps to combine the seasoning in between each noodle and you don’t actually want the cheese and the sauce to stick to the noodles you like little air pockets which help the cheese get in between each noodle and it also helps not dry out your mac & cheese

This is the same recipe I make. I use 2 cups of low fat milk and one cup of 10% cream though. I mix Tex mex Cheese with panko breadcrumbs for the top and bake. Adds a little texture (crunch)to it😊

I never met my dad he left when i was 7 months old. He recently passed away and i never got a chance to meet him. When i watch deddys videos it makes me so happy, his smile the way he is with his daughter ❤️ its so heart warming! Aya Deddy and Family. Just another variation for your topping, add some breadcrumbs mixed with a small amount of paprika or pour beaten egg over the cheese. Adore the interaction between you and your daughter. The mac and cheese looks yummy!!!

I make my Mac & cheese different and it’s so delicious 😋 with 5 different cheeses 🧀. I have gone to Jamaican restaurant & of course it wasn’t tasting good & lots of oils. My son’s favorite dish & he even notice it too but I’m willing to give your recipe a try. I have tried some of yours & it’s was very good & enjoyable. 💕👍🏽😋

The point is to use REAL ingredients not processed seasoning. Jamaicans love natural herbs, it’s way more healthier.

By time the onions cook down and mixes in you don’t even realize it’s in the mac & cheese. Personally, I would sauté up some bacon then add my onion and garlic to the bacon grease then add my butter and and make a rule with that then it’s gonna have that bacon flavor.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Denny put garlic send onions in his Mac and cheese. I always put fresh onions 🧅 and garlic 🧄 in mine. A can of cream of mushroom 🍄 soup added with some milk makes it top notch. Don’t forget your seasonings - pepper, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, sea salt. Just heavenly!!

I go all the hog and add crispy bacon, sliced mushrooms and zucchini to that. Then, I top it off with a mixture of breadcrumbs, parmesan and chopped parsley.... Yummy 😘😍👌🏼

I just love watching you & Deddy cook..... I live in the Bronx and was searching high and low for the seasonings he uses in his mac & cheese.... I want to make it, but using everything that he use. I even searched online and found the cool runnings seasonings & seasoning salt, but I can't find the SOUL seasoning. HELP!!! where can I find this? I just want to come through the TV and sit and have dinner with your family..... the food is mouth watering.... keep up the good work!!!!

I could never master making Mac and cheese until I found your video. Lol I was skeptical of the onions and garlic bc I never seen anyone do that. It definitely adds flavor. I just made the Mac and my bf said he loved it. Thanks for this recipe 👏🏽
