2 lbs chicken thighs
14 oz crushed tomatoes
4 tbsps butter
1 diced onion
1 tbsp garlic paste
AP Seasoning
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp coriander
season with same seasoning from marinade
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp sugar
chopped cilantro
Marinade
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
AP seasoning
2 tsps garam marsala
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1 tbsp ginger
2 tbsps garlic paste

One quick replacement I would make is replace the regular chilli powder with Kashmiri chilli powder. It's not always easy to get but you'll def find it in Asian Grocery stores. It's slightly smokier yet sweeter like paprika as butter chicken doesn't tend to be a spicy dish and thus I find its better ingredients than regular chilli P.

My fav!!! I was out recently at an Indian restaurant. Ordered the butter chicken as always. There was a table close by of an Indian family people visiting from out of town. They were super friendly and asked what I ordered - butter chicken. One guy said “that is so white”. We all laughed.

The best thing to add to this to make it a little spicy is Kashmiri Chili powder. It tastes incredible in butter chicken.

I thought butter chicken also has some cashews toasted and blended in with the butter sauce? I assume it's a personal preference but it gives it a nutty flavor and texture. Your recipe looks delicious, you should try adding the cashews in it next time unless you don't like them. And, YES, I vote for a Naan bread recipe preferably on the grill please 😁

You forgot cashews, ghee and fenugreek brother! That's how you get that authentic restaurant version of butter chicken but I'm sure yours is still very delicious.

This is the second meal I prepared by you that came out absolutely delicious. The Mac and cheese is a favorite and now this butter chicken, only thing was I wasn’t able to find one seasoning you used which was the garam masala. My son is a picky eater but love this. And we had naan bread
