I love salmon patties for breakfast I usually eat them with a creamy bowl of cheese grits! I have to try using the bread crumbs because I usually use good ol sliced bread!

I loved when my grandma served them with homemade biscuits and syrup! Yummm!!!

My sweet mom was an incredible southern cook. She would have you slain under the table when she made salmon croquettes. This recipe reminds me so much of her. Love you, momma. Miss you every day. Thanks for reminding me of a fond memory, Gina. I love to watch you cook.

My family has made this for years, I grew up on pink salmon.

Gina the bones are so soft and full of Calcium at least that’s what my mom taught me. So I mash it into salmon w/ seasonings and bell peppers, onions and I also leave the skin. Sometimes I boil the potatoes to hold it together instead of using eggs. And I love frying them in cornmeal. Gina you nailed it!!! I see my mistake I frying using to much oil. Gina, my mother would make salmon croquette and we had with white rice and maybe peas or string beans on the side and I loved it. I haven't had in a long time it's time to make some. Blessings to the YOUNG family.

I love salmon cakes. I like mine a bit smaller, more medium size. My mom always made them that size and I do as well and I've taught my older daughter to make them that way. I usually can get 14 patties/cakes when using two cans if I stay close to medium size. I always love serving mines with grits, scrambled eggs and homemade biscuits. I've never added a potato so next time I make them I'll try your recipe. Thanks Gina and have a very happy and blessed Mother's Day :-)

I love it with cheese grits or biscuits with the thick syrup I forgot the name of it looks so good

I use the sauteed veggies, eggs, seasonings, vegetable oil, and only put Panko bread crumbs or corn meal on the outside. I serve my croquettes with fried potatoes and onions, cole slaw and a can of cream style corn mixed with whole kernel corn as well (seasoned to taste). Yum!!!

Oh Ms. Gina, you're taking me back. My Mom & Granny use to make it with potatoes as well and we would have white rice and fried corn and yes, I had hot sauce and ketchup on the side to dip my salmon in. I made this last month and I think I'm gonna make it again this week or next week. Thank you!!

Salmon croquettes, rice, and biscuits is on hit. Sometimes fried potatoes instead of rice will work as well. Haven't used flour, I'll try it. I was raised using cornmeal, and the moisture came from the juice in the salmon poured in a cup, and add some to moisten the cornmeal. Thanks. Keep the film rolling 🎥!!!
