On the other hand, this is a great winter salad. Oranges and fennel are both in season, so should be good quality, less expensive, and readily available.

Don't know what it is, but it may be Japanese in design, but not a chef's knife however.

If you’re at the kind of grocery store that has scallops and fennel, then you’re at a store that also has pink peppercorns.

Try Penzey's, they have a good selection of herbs and spices.

You can get frozen scallops in the seafood freezer section, just make sure they are not in any liquid as she notes in the video. That's how I often get them as well. Also, the stuff in the seafood case? Often frozen to start with.
