Damn when he said “she’d be the one planning it” that’s when I immediately realized I fucked up in that regard, but I’m goin thru a similar type of situation he talked about. She initiated a streak out of the blue, I didn’t make any moves, she backed off, I focused on myself and started to like myself and feel happy again and what not, decided to reach out to more people in my life and randomly thought “why not reach out to her just cus” and didn’t really cross my mind to ask her out but then I was like “damn why not give it a shot” so she said yea, but I knew I couldn’t be too pushy when we entered the talking stage so I left her on open and put the ball in her court, so I guess I did something right so far. Then I put the ball in her court again and she didn’t open it till the morning but I was cool with it. She snapped me back, I said good morning asked about her day, she responded with the same thing, told her about mine but that I’d talk to her later, she wished me a good day at work and I didn’t snap her back till I got back home, didn’t think about her till then that much too, I get zoned out in my work pretty easily these days. Then we talked about our days, slipped in a compliment, she was appreciative, didn’t give me one but I again was cool with it. Didn’t try to force nothin, sorta I guess. I think the next potential mistake was trying to reinforce that I was serious about wanting to go out but what I said was “idk if I asked you this yet but are you down for what I suggested for Saturday” and she said yes and that she was excited so I said the same thing. Again left her it in her court. She hit me back with wyd and said just chillin, talking to some peeps, talking to you, wbu? She said the same shit essentially, we talked more about it, found common ground, talked a bit more after that, allowing time between the responses, kinda felt like both of us were trying to out play the other in a way, but regardless not too long ago I told her I was going to bed and that I was looking forward to talking to her after like damn near 25 minutes of not opening her snap, she snapped me back not too long afterwards and I’m leaving her on delivered till the morning. Planning in asking for her number on Wednesday and working on showing interest but not enough to make her sure about it, so essentially trying to make her chase me. Just need some advice on moving forward, anything helps! Thanks!
